  1. Make sure you have anti-freeze in your cooling system and let the bike warm up for 10 mins before riding it.

is you HT lead working use a line current tester. Also check your tick over screw make sure its not shut.
  3. id say about £1500 if its still in as good as new condition..
  4. you can put the sports pipe on, but you will have to change the rollers (lighter). that pipe going to the engine is what that other guy said. it acts as a restrictor, what you would have to do to make sure its fully de-restricted is to plug the hole with high temp silicon (InstaGasket). and DO NOT get a K&N they are shit lol so many problems! lol. your better off getting a foam filter such a polini. BTW Not patronising you Wild Foamy.
  5. No you dont have to change the clutch, the clutch is usually the last thing you change. but yeah harder clutch spring shoud do the job.
  6. Hi Im thinking about buying a 100cc engine to replace my seized 50cc engine but need some advice on what i have to change, i want some advice before i buy one so if i do and it fails then it would be a waste of money. ADVICE:: Do i need to change electrics? i.e. Wiring loom, starter relay, HT lead, Voltage regulator & CDI unit. Do i have to change the suspension? i.e. Back Shock, Front Forks And anything else... Many Thanks ReIcE
  7. I know how you feel when you have a love for your fist bike ive still got mine, its in the garage in bits but i wont get rid of it even though i know i could fetch at least £300 for spares. mine had a similar problem to yours but dont know what it is, on mine i think its something to do with the crankshaft i.e. Crank barings, small end barings? i dont know.
  8. Nice Bike! how much you pay for it? because ive only ever brought 2nd hand ones as projects. Ive only ever seen beat up santander aeroxs one ebay.
  9. you would need to check out the sproket size for each gears (depending on weather your looking for acceleration or top speed). you will need both primary and secondary gears because the bike has two gears, the best gear up kit i would recommend is POLINI PRIMARY GEAR UP KIT 13/44 and POLINI SECONDARY GEAR UP KIT 15/42 but that was my choice in sproket size, you may want different.
  10. they are all different lengths you gotta make sure you put the right ones in the right holes otherwise they might cross-thread and JAM!
  11. you might be getting too much 2 stroke oil running into the piston, it might be time to disconect your oil tank and mix the oil manually with the petrol. thats what i did with my 52 plate aerox it smoked less, which is obviously an improvment.
  12. Hi I want to change my 50cc engine over with a air cooled 100cc engine getting one off of ebay (just the engine). i would be putting it on my old frame and it would be registered as a 50cc. im also going to buy a bigger carb for the engine. I was wondering weather i have to change the electrics i.e. the wiring loom, starter relay and CDI? Also do i have to change the suspention? Thanks
  13. Make sure your head gasket hasnt gone and water is getting onto your piston making you loose compression and power.
  14. id say do 30mph for 50 miles, then 35mph for another 50 miles, and finally do 40mph for 200 miles. but to what that other guy said i had a polini 70cc kit, done 30mph for 100 mile and after that full throtteled for about 50 miles and it blew, my friend also had a polini 70cc kit and done the same and his head gasket went.
  15. The only time i had a screeching noise on my bike was the kick start cog grinding away, when putting the bike the dealers might have put the variator togther wrong, because that what happened when i did lol.
  16. First thing is you are better off with lighter rollers, 4g recommended. the fist thing you need to do is take the nut off the variator fan, you would need to use a variator nut locking tool. but the way i did it was to use a rachet and a hammer. put the ratchet on the nut as you would and band the ratched handle hard the variator will spin with the ratchet but should come loose after a couple of good taps. It wont damage the variator in any way. next you need to take the whole variator out remembering where all the parts and washers go, replace the rollers and put back together. tighten the nut the same way you loosend it.
  17. It is fun having a moped and putting your own little bit of DIY to make it your own. I cant recommend anything on the pannels other than re-spray but that costs a bit of money when done properly. you could give it a bit of T-cut? lol with the exhaust what i done on my old bike was if the pipe is quite rusty and looks really ugly is take off the whole pipe and un bolt the silencer so your just working on the pipe. wire wool it down all over possibly with a bit of WD40 until smooth, buy yourself some high temp paint (black looks best and lasts longer), and spray all of the pipe. re-attatch the silencer and wash it. put it back on the bike and should look as good as new. With the breaks its a possibility that you have a air lock in your break hose so, you should get yourself some new break fluid making sure its the right sort (should say on the fluid cap on the bike). bleed the old fluid out of the rear calipper and fill up.

    help

is your reed valve and manifold clear? if the answer is yes. the only other problem i can think of is your choke, has the cable snapped or is the mechanism jammed?

You'd have to upjet alot between 95-100 as you also have a sports pipe. increase your roller size and ajust the mixture making sure after a good run up and down the road and then check your spark plug is a good bronze colour.
  20. you might need a fresh starter relay.
  21. When putting on a sports pipe your best option is to change the rollers to lighter to keep the bike running smooth. i had a viper pipe on mine and had 4 gram rollers in it and it was running sweet, but then i experimented putting 6 gram rollers in for top end but then it started bogging like yours. another thing it is reccomended that you up-jet 5-10 sizes.
  22. When i replaced my standard exhaust with a sports pipe i up-jetted 10 sizes which didnt show no change. The most common modification you have to do when you change the exhaust is to change the rollers to a lighter size. I changed my rollers down to 4 grams. my bike ran sweet with very good acceleration.
  23. ive brought a K&N style air filter and fitted it with the standard 86 jet when i went for a test ride it was lagging on acceleration and was screaming at a about 35mph, so i upsized the jet by 10 to 96 it seemed like it got worse so i went back to standard. should i upsize even more or are there any other tweaks i need to do? Thanks..
