MEAN 1 Posted August 3, 2008 Share Posted August 3, 2008 Once my new FZ1N is run in am thinking what type of oil should i run ? Full Synthetic or Semi Synthetic ? i have always used semi syn in my bikes & changed both oil & oil filter every 3000km or approx 1700miles , but is it required that one should run Full syn oils in a R1 based engine of the 2008 model FZ1N ? . also once you use full syn oil , theres no turning back to using semi syn is there ? whats your opinion or what are you using in your R1 / FZ1N & why . p.s. thanks in advance for any help .. Black FZ1 Posted August 3, 2008 Share Posted August 3, 2008 Hi again, I have just had my first service done by 3 Cross at Wimborne near Ringwood Hampshire, they used "Silcoline Pro 4" Fully Sythetic . My bike is the ABS version (In Black), i have now done 895 miles on the clock. All i can say is when you get past 8 Thousand, hold tight as this bike is simply Awsome!! Rich.
