I'm not sure about r1 but i have a yzf750 and run the rear seat unit of 01 r1 took very little sorting and i'd say the fairing wouldn't take much but would mean a small amount of fabrication... Also ticking if its been stood a good overall be a start the valve clearances are not hard to do and have a look at if its ticking on tickover and goes when it opened up it may be cam chain related!!!
  2. hi mate running motal semi 10 40 in it...
  3. hi ya all!!! now can any one help i have a 94 yzf750 and few small problems with the clutch.when first go out it can be very sharpe and bite really suddenly but few miles up the road its fine.. braided hose in place of o.e and ive changed fluid couple of months ago(dot 4).. cheers for any advice..
  4. hi mate,i read you topic and sorry it must be a night mare!!! i would also look at thundercat and may be thunderace and maybe r1 or r6 bits!!but depends on what bits you need because i believe r1 calipers fit the 750 and you can pick them up cheap but certain bits your prob have to look or be bit careful of what you put on.......... good luck..

hi any one tried taking the exup valve out of the exhaust?? any problems with this?? thanks..
  7. well not sure if that was a good day.not had chance to do the valve clearance yet but did a pressure test and no sign of a valve gone. small amount of air leaking through the rings as you can hear through the oil filler cap but i'd say be a small amount as sum piston slack with it being cold. when engine is running you put your hand on each carb they all suck but not on the cyilinder which is the prob one.
  8. yes i did all the usual thing, air leaks, new plugs, and a good spark.that was my next job to check the value clearances then presure test to see if i had got a valve or set of rings gone. thanks alot like i said a second or third opinion is always good.
  9. hi ya all,i found this site and its great so joined straight away.thank god for the internet. any one help or had any probs before.ive got a yzf 750 and it has couple of problems.the engines holding on the revs when you let go of the throttle. but its not running on number 1 cyc properly either. carbs are balance right and does sound maybe a valve or ring problem or valve clearances. I am a car techician so fixing is not a prop but it always good to get a second hand opinion. And any one got a subframe for a yzf750!! THANKS
