Shouldn't Land of Hope and Glory, or something similarly patriotic be playing in the background as you write Marchy. The Empire is gone, and not before time too. Get a life and meet people of a few different cultures Marchy.

It's good to see such a deep and reasoned arguement from you Marchy. What makes you think that these people are basically any different from people anywhere else in the world?

    Winter gloves

Meanwhile back at the gloves issue........as another ex courier, and an all year bike user, I can tell you from experience that the more fingers your gloves have, the greater the chance that they will leak. The only true solutions I have found, are either the handlebar muffs as mentioned previously, or a set of overmits from your local friendly outdoor shop. These are cheap (I paid £12 this year for a breathable set), and very durable baring accidents. Just wear them over a set of ski gloves, or heavy bike gloves.

The Saudi's now own about 6% of the USA's total capital. So where do you think political power lies? Our forefathers who fought for democracy must be turning in their graves. Check out www.gregpalast.com, or read one of his books for the inside story. And, if you think things are bad in England or the US, I live in Northern Ireland, so just imagine what it's like here. I believe that most people no longer vote for politicians because they like or believe them, but for the person/ party that they dislike least, and who they believe will do the least damage. Sad world isn't it? Thank God for bikes

    New old stock parts

Thanks for the info guys, at least I now know what the points will fit. Maybe I should buy another bike to go along with them! Cas
  7. I've bought a box of new old stock parts, mostly from the 60's and 70's. Included in it are two sets of points, part number 278-81621-20. does anyone out there know which bike these points will fit? All information would be greatly appreciated. thanks, Cas
