    Hello

Hi Merv Had a 350b back in 74, the one with the silver tank, great bike. Was over at the Bristol classic show earlier in the year and there was one excactly the same there, it had been restored to a show winning standard, in fact it was better than brand new. The guy on the stand who had restored her said it was for a customer who had an accident when the bike was just a few months old and just kept it in his garage ever since. (cost of restoration was about 4.5k i think he said!!! Was down your way a couple of months ago at the haynes museum in Yeovilton(well not too far away from Devon) went for a ride on the xs down there and also to the Sammy Miller bike museum in New Milton nr Bournemouth, six hundred odd miles on the old girl with out so much as a missfire! not bad ehh? http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x145/tt...bikeshow015.jpg

    Hello

Hi JR Yes they are the original bars(solid to keep vibration down to a minimum) They were fitted for the british market and by golly they give a nice comfortable riding position too, I been every where on her this year with not so much as a sore ass after a few hundred miles or so. Tony PS You got a pic of your 500?
  5. Yes it is the same engine in the TX and the XSb, the XSc (the one with the shit styling) has a modified one piece head but will also still fit into yours.

    Hello

Hi and hello to you all I'm an ex telegram boy (boy messenger) from way back in the early seventies. I used to ride BSA Bantams 175 but my own bikes were a Yamaha rd125 and rd350b which were fantastic bikes back then and still are now according to little old me! The bike I always wanted though was the xs650b but never got to get hold of one then due to females etc etc Now i have one and have been restoring her for the last 2 years to a lovely standard and been taking her out for long rides this year everywhere. Brilliant bike and after the restore rides fantastic. Anybody out there got a similar model to mine? 1976 XS650B UK ROADSTER http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x145/tt...ewshocks003.jpg Tony
