How can Yamaha dealers/service agents not know what coolant it should take?
-
Those first 2 options are definitely not going to work lol
The tin can insert idea will probably work until you find a replacement.- 1

I'm sure someone will know something eventually...
In the meantime, I've deleted the partial duplicate post. -

Congrats!

At that price then, I don't see a reason not to give it a poke, if it works, great, if it doesn't, you've not lost much...

How much are they?

Your close up photo, is a bit too close up and could do with a wider shot to get a reference point. Obviously its your bike so you're familiar with it, but not us
Yes, it doesn't help that you've managed to get your handbag strap in the way either!

Welcome in, and hope you're on two wheels soon!

Did it arrive? have you fitted it? are we there yet?
Can we stop for ice-cream?
Where's my potty?
Why didn't I think of that earlier..?- 1

Yo..!
Hmmm, I've always wondered about those things, how's the whole 2 front wheels thing going?
Learn something new every day is my motto!

Exactly!

As a bit of fun, we have a ranking system within the forum from awarding thanks and likes etc. the more you get it moves you up through the tables. Popular posts can get gold, silver and bronze medals. Its just for fun and not to be taken seriously but it adds to your profile.
On posts you'll notice a grey heart on the bottom right, and clicking on it will show a variety of icons. Anyone can click on them and you can click on as many as you like. I've given you a few likes and thanks and now your name will appear on the Leaderboard ranking for the week. You could end up with a gold medal!!
There should be a thumbs up one...

Thank you for your detailed and helpful replies. I feel I'm asking questions too readily but I'm new to this and appreciate your taking the trouble to help. I think I may have answered my own question!
The obvious answer here is: Poke a little deeper before you ask...
However, there are a few points that discount the obvious answer.1/ Asking early gives us time to poke the most likely options and the unlikely options while you continue to look.
2/ There's a reason we're here and helping: We like a puzzle!
3/ Getting strange answers often triggers something in your own mind.
4/ Why not?
So, keep asking! lol

Are you 100% certain that the brake lever isn't bent at all?
-
My paranoid suggestion for this instance would be:
Send them the pictures, order the key to a FRIENDS house instead of yours... Or a PO box or dropbox or something... Just not the same address the bike is kept at.- 1
-
What can I say, just because I'm paranoid, doesn't mean people aren't out to get me! lol.
I can delete this thread if you want, but that doesn't solve the main possible issue...
-
Errr...
I hate to say it but...
Yes, you can cut a key from a picture, I can cut a key from a picture with nothing but a blank and a needle file, that's not the issue...
The problem is, what you've just done, is given some random person on E-Bay your bike key, AND your address!!!For the price of a key, that could turn out pretty expensive...
And even if you DO get a perfectly working key in the post, doesn't mean they're not gonna come round later..! -

I asked what the cost would be and was told £30 for the first key and £15 for any additional ones. When I expressed disbelief at what I thought was the high price, I was given a lot of waffle about quality etc.
ROFL!
Having used to be a shoe repairer / key cutter, I can confirm that's normal for Timpsons...
Go find your local cobbler, he can probably do it. -
The lock is right under the edge of the seat just forward of the left shock.

... I was looking for just the exhaust pipe, not the silencer, ...
Aaah, that would have been good to know earlier... lol
On 4/26/2024 at 5:57 PM, Dr Sangrado said:The only company I can find with one for sale is Fowlers (p/n 5H5-14611-00), £201.82 including VAT! There are many companies selling RX100 ones (p/n 36LE46110000) from about £28 upwards.
The part numbers are different. If they were the same, they would usually have the same part numbers.
That said, for £28, go for it... Buy it and see if it fits...7 hours ago, Dr Sangrado said:Thanks for the suggestion Neo, which I'd follow if I needed a new exhaust downpipe.
Ok, I'm just completely lost now...
Exactly which part are you looking for???- 1
