  2. I had the carb off the bike the other day to get the dimensions of the reeds, after refitting the carb, I realised I didn't know where the red/pink hose goes. It comes out of the right side of the carb when it's fitted to the bike and isn't long enough to drain underneath the bike like the other long thin hose that comes from the carb. Any idea what it is and where it should go. I know it doesn't connect to anything but I'm not sure where to leave it. Cheers

  4. At the moment my bike has a full dep system and has been derestricted (speedo method). I'm going to buy some boyesen dual stage reeds and replace the standard air box snorkel to the one that came with the dt230, as it is slightly larger. My question is, for the upgrades I have just listed, what size jet do you think would be appropriate to upjet to? I have seen posts of people running similar upgrades running a 230 main jet and some running a 250 main jet. My powervalve is not pinned open. Also, is there any other mods that are worth doing while I do these things, I have seen some things about people modifying the rubber bit on the intake manifold.   5. I'm happy to leave it seen as the DEP gives good power gains. I didn't want to go to extreme measures like buying a whole new exhaust just to change the sound a bit.

  7. But I've read on quite a few forums that if you chop it, you may lose some bottom end but gain some top end power...
  8. I love the sound of my bike but it isn't very loud compared to other two strokes I have heard, it seems to get drowned out by other vehicles very easily. I am thinking about shortening the silencer but I'm a bit worried that I will lose bottom end power especially as the dt doesn't have much anyway. Would it be alright if I shortened it about 4 inches or so? Has anyone done it to their bikes? The bike has a full DEP system. Cheers

  10. If I just wanted to test it to see if my bike ran better or to see how I liked it, could I just drain the oil form the oil tank and line and then just use petrol that had oil mixed in to it? So the injector is still working but it has no oil to inject, would that be okay for one ride?
  11. I thought it was gearbox oil you can use a chain lube or is it 2 stroke oil as well?
  12. I've got nearly a full bottle of castrol a747 which you can't use with the injector (I'm trying to get that castrol r smell) and I'd like to be able to use a wider range of oils anyway. However, if it's a hard task then I won't bother. I just thought if it's easy to do I might as well give it a go and see how I like it.
  13. Has anybody got any info on bypassing the oil injector on a 2007 model, so that you can premix the oil and petrol yourself? Is it hard to do and is it able to be reversed if you change your mind after? Cheers

  15. I had a little look on here and saw that someone kept recommending semi-synthetic for a dt125 but I was under the impression that fully synthetic is better. So I was curious if there was a reason why you would want semi specifically for a dt. I think I'll just get the castrol one, can't really go wrong. Cheers
  16. Just wanted to ask what oil you think would be best for a dt125; Semi Synthetic or Fully Synthetic. The actual ones I'm looking at are 'Ipone R2000RS Strawberry' and 'Castrol Power 1 racing'. Cheers
  17. Yes they are 12v w5w t10 led's, I know I could just remove the bulb but I like to have everything working properly.
  18. Before I start cutting things, I'm going to try swapping the idiot light for an led. I got 2 for 99p on ebay so it's worth a try first.
  19. The last part lost me, this is what I understand to do atm: Why does there have to be 2 diodes?
  20. I've got some 1n4001 diodes, will they be okay to use. They're 1A 50V. Cheers
  21. I just installed some LED indicators but they don't flash. If I pull out the idiot bulb then they flash but the LED's stay on in-between flashes, they're just dim. I am using the flasher relay that was included with the set that I bought. How can I get them to flash with the idiot bulb installed aswell? Cheers
  22. I'm getting some led indicators in a couple of days so I wanted to know which of these is the flasher relay. They have the same part number so I'm not sure. EDIT* Just realised it's the one with the lettering on.
