  1. Thanks guy's! It was really great when I passed, although the wind was brutal and at one point it actually knocked the bike sideways!
  2. snow will only slow me down....to about 5mph!
  3. Passed! One minor for doing 20 in a 30 but who cares about that, I passed! Time to insure my xj600s diversion! :-D
  4. Well for me the XJ600S Diversion just stood there and said 'you know I'm good', and from then on I bought one. It's not the best of lookers but it just has that little something that the others don't have. I just wan't to pass this damn mod2 so I can use my divvy!
  5. Also is it bad that I enjoy riding the bike we use for the test? It's a Suzuki Gladius 650cc. Ofc it's nothing compared to my XJ600S but it's fun to ride.
  6. Well if this was Carmageddon then I would ;-)
  7. Got my retest tomorrow! This time no prisoners!
  8. Thanks guy's. Tbh it just pissed me off that I was all. If I can find a test slot before the 24th I will take it and pass this time
  9. Well let's see,my list is as follows: Mod2 retest before Dec24th so I can actually ride my xj600! Belly pan for the xj Fix and respray all fairings Clean out the carbs Heated Grips! Respray the frame Get a new exhaust system (Looking at this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/281284262286?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT) And eating as many mince pies as I possibly can!
  10. I waited at a junction too long so I failed, stupid reason to fail tbh.
  11. Hey guy's, sorry for such a slow reply works been mental. Unfortunately I failed my mod 2 and it was on the stupidest thing, I was being too safe >_>
  12. Thanks blackhat. I've had a look around the wonderful internets and litterally the only replacement is a chopjob by myself so far :-/ I guess that I will have to just blend them in with some paint, they just look so out of place, lol.
  13. Hey all. I've got my mod 2 test on Tuesday 2nd Dec and starting to get a little nervous if I'm honest. The test is being done on a Gladius 650cc with abs, the thing is that I've not been on the road since my CBT and that was on a Honda 125cc and they are really different esp when it comes to the gears. Is there any advise that could be given with regards to not making a total hash of the test? Thanks, Rafen.
  14. It's a weird one and more of a typo on my part. I should have typed Britain but UK is just easier. It's like when some one says I'm British Welsh....I have to correct them as it's actually Welsh British, birth country before unified country but then they still don't understand, lol.
  15. Originally from Wales but moved to the UK with my mother when I was around 3 years old. Now live with my Fiancée and 1year 8month old boy in Oxford. Not sure why as the rent costs here are stupid and I hate it!

    DAS advice

Thanks OJ. It did happen to be wet but it wasn't raining for the test. It also appears that I enjoyed the avoidance part as I did it at 42mph instead of 32mph, guess I'm just good at avoiding shit? lol. I did pass the mod 1 so all is good, unfortnuatley the guy that went before me failed as he stalled the bike on the slalem and put his foot down? I'm still not sure how he stalled it during one of the easiest parts of the test. Next up is my mod 2 on the 2nd December though so fingers crossed once again.
  17. Hi all, Was looking over my bike and couldn't help but notice that where the riders foot pegs and mount are, it seems like it's overly sized for what it's exactly there for. So just wanted to know if anyone one knows if it's possible to get them replaced with a smaller version? See the pic for clarification as to what I'm talking about. Thanks, Rafen.
  18. Welcome welcome! Great bike btw!
  19. Welcome welcome! Another xj600 rider

    DAS advice

I've recently paid and started my DAS in Oxford. I paid £600 in total, that included the CBT, mod 1 training, mod 1 test, mod 2 training and mod 2 test, liability cover in case I dropped a bike etc and they booked my Theory test. My lessons have been two people per instructor and that has worked out better for me compared to a one on one basis, mostly because it showed the mistakes that I hadn't made but could do and learned off of them. I have my mod 1 test on the 26th Nov so I'm hoping it's not raining, not liking the idea of the 32mph swerve part in the wet >_>
  21. Hi all, This is my 1993 XJ600S Diversion. She is a little tatty at the moment but that will be getting sorted over the next few months. Fairings sanded down, fixed and resprayed alongside replacement 4-2-1 exhaust system, seat and minor other parts. Best part is that she only has 19k miles
  22. Thanks for the welcome. I passed my Theory test on the 13th and will have my mod 1 test on the 26th so hoping to pass that
  23. Hi there. Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Raymond from Oxford in the uk and I recently brought a 1993 xj600s diversion. It's my first bike in preparation for my das on the 2 December.
