BONKERS bike loads of torque and unique dont see many out there and some bonkers deals i paid list for mine 2 yrs ago £9349 now on 0% at some yamaha dealers (not all yamaha dealers sell them have to be an MT authrised dealer ) have seen some as litte as £7100 on the 0% and even a used 56 plate with 500 miles x demo at £5995.00 good hunting stu
  2. Hi matt snell lids are better spec than uk lids so it would not bother me is what all the racers lids are (snell tested) think there ok on a track here in the uk too
  3. Had a simpson bandit had colour matched to my bike met silver and gold looked the dogs but worst lid i have owned poor visibility noisy (was one of the early ones) not much chin protection but still looked good on my old streetfighter 98 R1
  4. Hi would use it as one of those nice plant pots !!!
  5. Hi anyone going to the cassington bike meet on mon 25th june ???? biggest meet in oxfordshire usually gets a few thousand if the weather is good .. Stu
  6. HI Matt have owned 6 arais now from a signet gt astro r and j and rx7 corsair and have only lost one side pod bout £40 for a replacement but its mainly due to constantly changing the visors and not putting back on propley. Arais are quiet noisy due to the side pods but in my opion probably the best fitting and comy crash helmets you can buy. I personally have never paid full price for an arai last two i have bought is a plain blue rx7 corsair which was £250 and an astro r race rep in haslam colours paid £190.00 for that and they were both last yrs lids ( date stamp around the strap ) as i know that at the bmf and nec the dealers sell them cheap as old stock some upto 5 years old. Other lids to look at are the shoei xr1000 good deals to be had and good colour schemes light and quiet and visor comes off easier for cleaning etc approx £300. And the other one i would look at is the AGV titech not a rossi rep tho massivly overpriced plain colours again should be bout £300 and black one is cool. ( but AGV just dont fit me well as would have probably bout one) try cissebury leathers they usually have lots of deals on... Stuart
  7. rode 06 last year for bout 6000 miles bike is very good you could get them for 3999 . 2007 s2 is the same as 06 model bar new swing arm comfy seat clocks fairing different engine the same. the uk is not getting the lower bhp option same as last yr 98bhp. and almost forgot new brakes on the s2 model.. a much improved model on an already good bike. be careful with regards to the 06 model as lots of dealers still had 2005 models kicking around usually have silver engines and silver frames apart from abs model and a few black ones , 06 colours were lava red yamaha blue and towards the end of year black as yamaha ran out of faired models.. have seen a few dealers selling pre reg 2005 spec r6s for as little as £5000... happy hunting stueee

    My New Bike - R6

IF YOUR DEALER IS COOL THEY WILL WALK YOU THROUGH THE SERVICING SCHEDULE 600 MILES OR 6 WEEKS (RUNNING IN PERIOD ) THEN 6000 MILES OR 6 MTHS TO A YR DEPENDING ON ABUSE EVERYONE RIDES DIFFERENT MYSELF I WILL DO IT AT 600 MILES THEN AT 6000 MILES BUT I DO BOUT 16000 MILES A YEAR AVERAGE MILES IN UK IS BOUT 3000 SO IF YOU DO THAT KIND OF MILES YOU PROBABLY SERVICE YOUR BIKE ANNUALLY ALL GOOD

    My New Bike - R6

Its easy to caught out with the new bike buying exprience see so many people that try to come in and buy a bike because they have just passed there test and see the first bike that falls into there price bracket and must have it.. The dealer should of tidyed up the rear bit slap dash if held together with tape , also what service is missing as yamahas are 600 miles then 6000 or usually a year. I was selling the model you have for £5099 brand new on a 56 plate (pre -reg) but they sold out like hot cakes. looks good tho happy riding

    My New Bike - R6

HI think what matt is on about is the small v shaped fairing that sits behind the front wheel right at the bottom stops all the crap hitting the down pipes but hard to see if yours is missing as it is always black...

    Greetings

is it the 07 model or the 06 model as i know there are a lot of 06 models kicking around at cheap money. As the 2007 model should have better fueling and yamaha have done away with jerkiness havent noticed on the one i have been riding.. also what your tank range as i rode very easy running and only seamed to get 98 miles to a tank !!!! cheers stu
