Nice bike, welcome.
Maybe an old wives tale but looooong time ago I heard something like, fill it with uncooked peas ........ you heard me right :-) and fill it with water.
Peas swell up and push dent out.
Could have completely wrong end of stick ...... in which case, carry on
Google & Youtube are your friends.

Looks a bit top heavy Dutchy!, does it not fall over on corners?
Easy does it Foamy, that's the ticket. Had to go 30 miles with this rig.
Plenty of pissed off dickheads in their euroboxes tho

I was always lead to believe that lead in petrol is good for an engine. (excuse the pun)

Gents,
That is what they call in the trade ...... a 2.5 Knot shitbox.
I know because I campaign a 4 Kt shitbox

I've heard that you aren't a real biker until you've fallen off ...
Then I'm not a real biker .................... and would like to keep it that way, thanks.

Gents,
When I do my weekly commute to Brixham 180 miles pretty hard driving going/returning @ 90/100 MPH for abt 90 minutes.
I seem to be having to top up my oil quite regularly last few weeks.
And a see 1 drop on the floor coming from within/behind the down pipes after parking up
I guess that wile driving that burns off - could that be a connection going to/coming from the oil cooler ?
If it came from the top end I'd see a trickle down I guess but I can't.
Look forward to hear.

Well done Hubert, as good as new.
I'm sure that the owner of the chevvy will be appreciative as well :-)

Long story short.
Parallel import is an existing model imported from another country.
French DT125 for example imported to the uk.
Grey import is a bike not released in the uk.
GSXR250. CBR250, RVF400 etc. These bikes were Japan only. They exist but not official in the uk but perfectly legal if imported correctly.
Thanks, so I guess that if you want to import a model that was never imported into the UK you have to jump through hoops to get type approval
and all that jazz.

Education time :-) please define grey import - thanks.

The people they let into this place .................... Pffffffffffffff

Regardless where the bike is from it should still come with the relevant registration certificates, Be that IOM, NI or even continental.
I bought the FJ unseen from ebay in Brussels. Came with Belgian reg certs --> MOT then apply for Brit reg. + V5. All above board and happy days ever since.

If the bikes been rebored will I need 1 and a half bands? If I cut the second band slimmer will that be OK?
Only on Monday's
-
try selling them at the GAY fest in blackpool.
Touche !!
Btw, remember I bought that 'mint' seat for 30 squid off 't Bay ..... it has been recovered and a pad added. I sit about 3/4 inch higher now. Not bad because the bike has a standard low seating position anyway and had to bend my legs in a pretzel to ride.
Fook me that feels weird

Gents,
Yes I did a search but nothing obvious :-)
As the title says but am clue less re mineral/semi synthetic/fully synthetic.
I assume somewhere in the 10W40 range.
Guess there's not much to say re make but tips welcome.
Thanks
