  1. I cannot seem to add a new topic to the Wanted forum? Anyone know why?
  2. Welcome!! I have had many bikes of all sizes, but run a ybr 125 everyday back and forth to work 26 mile round trip! Super reliable and cheap to run! Great little bikes mate!
  3. dt502001 is right, I missed the part about it being another person's bike...........well I over looked it :-) If it were mine, I would give it a go....but thats cos mine is a rat bike........second hand forks for sr are easy enough to find tho!!! Good luck!
  4. I replied on the welcome section..........Could be floats sticking once carb is full.....it will run for a while then until fuel is exhausted in the carb. U may find that the floats then dislodge again when trying to start her up and you go round the above again. Take carb apart, clean jets thoroughly. Take pin out of float and clean and use wire wool on the pin. Put it back together........Course the above about mixture and idle screw is also valid as is the electrical advice. I would start with the carb myself............. Good luck!
  5. Cheers all! Glad people like the little 2 strokers too!!! I am hoping for good fun out of my ratted rxs............when it's finished!
  6. If it's a carb model it may be that the float is sticking allowing the carb to fill and then when the floats at the top gets stuck...........the fuel in the carb then burns away thus allowing you to drive for a while and then it cuts out........Im guessing the float then eventually drops. Be worth stripping the carb and cleaning all the jets out carefully and ensuring float dont stick, give the pin and floats a really good clean up with a bit of wire wool on the pin that holds the floats. Hope this sorts it, otherwise it may be onto the electrical system, and I have proven to be a bit crap with that ;-)
  7. Absolutely stunning!! Nice one mate!
  8. What's it like to ride? Contemplating buying something similar with a huge v twin engine.
  9. Personaly i would say that is fecked! Tho u could use some chemical metal in the area that the seal will sit in. Sand it back so its smooth. The top part of damage shouldn't make too much difference? Just a thought.
  10. Cheers for that! I aint no welder but sure I could find someone to do that for me! Will look into a sr tank then.......its a single spine and so is the sr...... Thanks!!
  11. I am desperately trying to find out what other tanks will fit my 92 RXS 100. I think the SR 125 tank might fit. Does anybody know? I really hope someone can tell me!!! Kind regards, Matt.
  12. New to the forum. Have two little bikes at the moment. Have biked for many many years and owned bandit's, zx9r's, Kawasaki Ke's etc etc, but now own two yamaha's. One is a 08 YBR 125 that I use for work daily in ALL weathers! And the other is a 1992 RXS 100 that I am ratting. Glad to be aboard! Matt.
