sounds stupid but have you taken the kill switch to pieces?? sometimes the contacts go all manky and give a negative reading ( dont know why either) i had this issue with mine but cleaned all the contacts throughout the bike and replaced wires, i ended up also replacing the coil/ ht lead/ and plug cap on the hunt to remedy it, it now sparks but the carb has bits missing ( typically the bits that are no longer available) so it runs like a bag of nails, the predator system doesnt help, it seems to be restricting the output and is really quite

i went from riding a 125 to a xt600 tenere (3aj model) the power is nice and friendly the only thing is the almost 200kilos of bike weight, i am getting a wr450 for a general hack, hopefully i have made the right decision, did contemplate the TTR but not in the range of my wallet at the mo. interesting debate pro's and cons of each of the models, very useful, as all i had considered was how much lighter the WR is compared to the tenere, thanks for making my task easier, even though i have only just joined up
