  1. I've already got one, but I didn't even use it, it just took me about 15 mins. Even the clutch didn't need adjusting, I thought it might start slipping.
  2. Yes! Done it! I'm so elated after a week or something I'm back on the road. I've only fitted the clutch cable and lever. I'm leaving the handle bars for the moment. Taking baby steps lol. I feel more confident now. It was fairly easy.
  3. After all the moaning my clutch lever, alarm, clutch cable have come. So I'm going to have a bash at fitting them. Wish me luck!
  4. Hopefully my bike will be sorted by Wed, so I can have a ride over.
  5. Nice one:) I bet your going to be awake all night like a kid on xmas eve lol
  6. I know but I'm a total beginner and really don't have a clue.

When I first got the bike I told people in the area it had a gps tracker fitted.

I understand it's a fire hazard, but I asked my neighbours what their feelings were before I even bought it, and they were fine. I have a disc lock and two heavy duty pad locks and chains. I also have a bike cover which is fairly decent. I'm going to have to buy an alarm and more chains and locks now. After a few days when it has died down I might just put the bike in at around 11pm and put it outside at 7am.

I live in a big old house which has been converted into three flats. I have been keeping my bike in the hallway but I asked my neighbours beforehand and they were fully understanding and had no problems at all with it. I've got home today and I've got a letter from the landlord wanting to speak to me about it, I know it's a fire hazard etc. I'm gutted now I'm going to have to keep it outside chained to a metal fence. It's going to be a sought after target for bike thieves.
  11. I'm definitely going to go over, I'm just a bit apprehensive as I don't know any one.
  12. No they don't, they've just got the criss - cross corrugated edge on the left hand side. I haven't been to Squire's yet. Another member suggested it to me the other day, so I had a look on their website and it looks really good. I only live a few miles away so I'm definitely going to have a ride over to check it out.
  13. I've got an XT125 so I've just got some basic motocross ones. They're just cheap ones but they look ok. I wanted some Renthal ones but the ones I wanted were pretty expensive.
  14. My new new handlebars have arrived and I'm going to fit them myself. It seems like a really simple job, is there any special technique or any advice anyone can give me?
  15. Taxi Drivers, Bus Drivers, Asians are all the same people in my town, and believe me they can't drive for shit.
  16. http://squires-cafe....ut_us/index.asp Looks really good, I think it's only 15-20 miles away from me.
  17. Squires? I take it, it's a meet?
  18. Thanks neversaydie I will do that. Blackhat you had to go spoil it for me lol, I hope they're not but it will be just my luck if its wrong. When I ordered it off eBay it was definitaley listed as the right one.
  19. I was only a few miles away from my home, if I had been any further I would have definitely rode the thing home regardless lol
  20. I thought about it, but it was more or less all down hill. I did not want to damage the machine even further. Tbh I would of been better off doing that, it snapped in a well dodgy area and I was lucky to get out alive. Thanks for the tip dogwaffer, it's things like that what will make the job go smoothly for me. I'm looking forward to tackling the job now.
  21. Cheers that's boosted my confidence, I've ordered a new one from eBay so it should arrive in a few days. I've also ordered some new handlebars and clutch lever. There must be something dramatically wrong with me if I am incapable of fitting them lol.
  22. Bang smack in the middle of a very dodgy area my clutch cable snapped and I had to push my bike home, I swear I thought I was going to get my bike jacked! I know it seems like I'm winging every two minutes about bullshit but......... Do you think I could replace the cable myself or is it a difficult job? I really want to have a crack myself but don't have a clue or know what to expect.
  23. I only have a provisional and CBT so I'm unable to entertain a pillion passenger, so they are pointless. Even if I was legally able to carry a passenger I wouldn't. I better leave them alone then, thanks for the advice.
