  1. I've got a restricted license as I'm only 18, and have been riding for 1 year - not two. In my first bandit I had a 33bhp restriction kit put in for a 'tidy sum' of £170 to make my bike go slower. It soon fell out after my riding skill and confidence grew, and I felt happy with the ~70bhp that I had at my control. I was wondering whether anyone knows what penalties or fines you can face if the police find your bike to have no restriction kit in, when you're meant to? Just forward planning Cheers, Nick.
  2. I'm with you I'm 18 and passed last april and i'm looking for na R6 R1's are a little too fast for my liking haha.
  3. It seems that the online comparison engine has something up with it, due to: I'm 18 with a 33bhp restricted license, on any type of bike. So no, I can be insured on anything I want.
  4. Hah it sounds like you got off lucky! I overtook 3 cars going along a straight kind of through my village at 9pm at night in light rain, because they were all doing 28 in a 30 zone, and the other side of the road was fine. I blasted past at about ~55mph then slowed back down to just under 40mph after i passed them. I turned onto my road to hear sirens and lights blazing. They pulled me over RIGHT OUT SIDE MY HOUSE! And asked me to get in the back of their unmarked estate vectra. I had a bit of a talking to, they showed me their video and said they clocked me at 49 in a 30mph zone which should be 3 points and a £60 fine but i looked like i learnt my lesson, so they sent me on my way! Not too bad if you ask me!! :)
  5. Oh! I'm near Leeds area. Halifax to be specific. I don't have a bike at the moment (sold it at the end of the last season) butttt!!! I'm back and kicking, and hunting down a '98-'00 R6 So hopefully I'll be out and about soon enough. Doesn't anyone go to Squires up at Sherburn in Elmet?
