  1. I am looking for a service/repair manual (preferably Haines) for my YBR 125 Custom. The last Haines manual published for the YBR goes up to 2009. Has there been a significant change to the YBR since 2009 or will I be ok with that manual? Many thanks G
  2. Blake, My changes were not as smooth as I would have liked on my new YBR custom. On inspection of the change lever I found that it was actually physically hitting the engine block which was causing an issue when going up the gears. A small amount of brute force was applied to bend the arm out a bit and the issue was sorted. Other YBR owners have had proper issues with gear changes that seem to be sorted by letting the clutch out a bit and then re-applying it Good luck
  3. I'm 5 days Into owning my first bike and am loving it. The last thing I want to do is have it stolen and I'm taking no chances. The steering lock seems like a good idea to complimemt my locks however despite following the instruction in the manual to the letter I can engage it. With the bars turned to the right I depress the key in the ignition and turn to the 'lock' position however I cannot remove the key and the steering is not locked. Any ideas?
  4. I'd always wanted to get my licence (who didn't!) But what kick started the process was a trip to the States to visit family. Whilst the women folk were out getting their nails done or something I was asked what I wanted to do - shoot guns or ride motorcycles. As I couldn't do both at once I chose what I thought would get me in less trouble should the authorities take an interest. A quick familiarisation of the controls of a 650 scrambler and 3 hours of riding round some quiet streets later and I was hooked. That was 3 months ago. One theory/off road and on road test later and here I am, about to take delivery of my first bike.
  5. After god knows how many years of not quite getting round to it I finally got round to getting my bike licence (which is now 4 days old). My YBR 125 custom will be picked up as soon as I can get to the dealer. Looking forward to getting to know the biking world (with a bit of help from this forum) and how to look after my new bike. Regards G
