  1. Glad I came accross this, Your first post was like you were writing what was in my brain, I like what you've done with your bike, it's very close to what I would like to do with mine, I too am a noob when it come to tinkering and even used Youtube to findout how to change the seals in my breaks (took me 8 hours). I'd skip the LED's personaly, the satin black is nice and understaded, anything to flashy will couter that.. what method did you go for on the paint job? all the best
  2. Good tips, thanks, I've been putting nut's and bolts in labeled bags so I know where they came from, I could probably get away with replacing one section at a time as I go. Stuck blots are the bane of my life at the min, so some kind of torch is near the top of my list,
  3. Awesome, I'm off shopping then, Thanks again.
  4. Thanks thats exactly what I was hoping for, I'm on a very tight budget so I'm glad you've not listed any mahoosive power tools, on the grinder issue.. I have a Decent dremel multi tool, and could get some grinding/cutting disc's for that, ot i have a pretty powerfull drill, would some sort of atchment for that be better, i see you have some kind of brush thingy for yours.. which would be better?
  5. Hi Guys (and gals) Is there a list of things you should have before you start a project? I'm just about to start restoring my abused bike, I currently have some spanners/socet wrench, a wire brush, a can of gt85 and some enthusiasm. My first order of business is getting her running, then moving on to making her pretty. I'm hoping people can contribute to a non specific list of things to have before starting this project properly. Thanks in advance..
  6. Hi everyone, After having a look about this seems to be a great site to be a part of. I've been riding for about 3 years now through anything and everything, my bike has been my only transport and she's done me good. Roughly 6 months ago I stopped using the bike (after a few months in Thailand, moving away and being to skint to mot her). So I've treated her badly, but now I mean to get back in the saddle. Thats why I've come here, to see what everyone is doing with thier bikes and maybe get some tips and support as I start to re-build/customise her. Sorry for the long intro, Nice to meet you, Clive
