  1. Came off one of those babies about 16 years ago. Did all sort of damage to meself and the bike. That was the last time I rode a bike up until this year. Here's for keeping shiny sides up Razor
  2. Aye, the weather is smashing Took the bike out on the road for the first time today. Loooovvvved it
  3. I actually used a petrol resistant laquer that i got from halford's and i gave it about 6 coats. Was thinking that i should get a normal laquer and give another few coats. I'm gonna give it a rub with a blue t-cut polish, that might shine it up also. Cheers for the comments guys. Razor
  4. This is the before pic: took the original pic of the near side because all the off side was damaged. This is the after: Did the colour change meself with rattle can's so don't be too piccy. Razor
  5. I put a screen on my 535 and it makes all the difference. I hate the bloody sight of it though , but it makes a much more comfortable ride Now if i could only keep my right foot on the peg. Razor

  10. Hi all, Well i finally got it finished. I'm probably not a 100% happy wit it all but i think it will do,, for now. In summary, i found it easy to strip and clean the parts, it just take a lot of time Priming and paint the royal blue turned out well i thought. But my problems started when i tried putting on the stripes. I found this to be damn akward First i used masking tape and the result was alot bleeding and rough edges. So i started again and used normal electricians tape, i had much better lines but where ever there was a bump or kink i would get bleeding. as you can see in the pickie. Had to do alot fixing and messing around to get it right in the end. To be honest i'm sorry i tried putting stripes on, shudda just left it all blue. In the end, i just put stripes on the front and rear fenders. I just didn't have the heart to put in on the tank. Ah well at least i learned something,,, leave it to the professionals Anyway here are some pics of the end result Razor

  15. Welcome kerry, I suppose you'll be going for a cruise round the ring as soon as she comes. What a great road for bikes. I'll deffo be be heading down there for a spin as soon as i get mine road worthy. Razor
  16. Well Lads, thanks for all the advice. Hell i could really fec this up. Thanks FZR Al thats good advice. I have this expensive tape that painters use for cutting in when using gloss, it prevents paint ripples and seaping, i'm just afraid that it will rip the blue up. I'll give it a go and see how it turns out. I'll post a few pics when i'm done Razor
  17. Hi all, I'm in the middle of respraying my bike. I'm doing it myself It seems to be coming along well. I have sprayed it a nice royal blue but i have not put any lacquer on yet, i would like to put some nice silver stripes down the middle of the tank, fenders etc. It would be great if anyone could give me some advice or tips from your own DIY experiences before i start it myself. Here is where i'm at. Thanks in advance Razor
