  6. ok here we go i bought a dragstar xvs 125 twin second hand with just over 15000 on the clock i passed my cbt the other day so went to work on her today, all was fine but i was not happy with the bite point on the clutch, so i adjusted it to how i felt it was right all was OK up and down the road gear change was nice and smooth, so great job sorted, now here here comes the ???????, i left her to stand while i did some work, then while things were a bit slack i thought i would have a play with her so i started her up put her in first then went to put her in neutral and she would not go in also if i let out the clutch and then pulled it back in she would still creep forward until i gave her a rev then she would stand still but the only way i could get her in to neutral was turn her off or give the engine a slight rev while shifting gear how ever when she is warm all seems OK and she does as she is told, could this be due the the engine being cold and the oil thick ?????? (i replaced the oil and filter last week and used oil supplied by my local bike dealer) i had not noticed her do this before as i have rode her up and down my avenue last week to get a little used to her before hitting the main roads, is it something i have done ????? i have tried to adjust the clutch every which way and it will make no diff at all. hoping some of you folks can shed some light on it for me if you would be so kind just to let you know i am a motor mechanic and a class 4 mot tester (but when it comes to bikes i am a novice) regards ivan

well i did my CBT the other day and came away with that A4 paper that says i am ok to ride a 125cc motorbike it was a good bit of fun with the guys and not forgetting the lady instructor at motor tech at Manchester, i came away with some more knowledge and a little more experience, and was not made to feel that they were trying to teach an old dog new tricks they were serious but laid back a little with it, if folks did something wrong they were shown with respect how to do it the right way, they did not shout and ball at folks, they realy put folks at ease, i would recomend the folks at motor tech to any one who is looking to do there CBT. well i came out of there parked up the road in my jeep phoned the insurance and got some cover on my bike, within an hour i was out on her, what a dream to ride so smooth and corners like she is on rails, yeah yeah i know shes only a 125cc but shes all mine yeahhhhhhhhhhhh. regards ivan

good evening all well were do i start, no better place than to state what bike i just bought, its a dragstar xvs 125 on a 02 plate i called in the bike shop spotted it and bought it now it's in my garage getting polished. i have been buzzing around on a honda x8rx for the last two years and decided i wanted something else so now i got to do my cbt and ride on L'plates. not a problem i just fitted the plates. i take my cbt next week so will have to listen and learn and when passed it learn some more. i have ridden bikes since i was a lad but never bothered about a test well things have to change hence the cbt don't agree with it when i have had my full car licence for the past 20 years and my provisional bike licence since 1982 but hey its the law so i will do it. will let you know how i get on regards ivan
