  1. Hello All, Hope all well. Bike hasnt got much further. Engine all running after got new part for carb. Still cant find the spec for the wheel spacer of rxs forks on a rs bike. OMG may have to remember how to use some verniers and use my brain. That is a scary thought. In the mean time any one know the size? Cad
  2. Hello All. Hope all are well. Does anyone know the size of the spacer used on the RSX100 bike. I had to fit rsx forks as no RS forks available. Difference is the spacer is clamped at the end of the RS forks and the RSX sits between the fork and the wheel hub. If I could find the original spacer I could work it out or cut it down to size or make one up. Regards CRaig and Rachel

  4. Hello All, Well im back. Part turned up from allenperformance.about two weeks ago. Daughter fitted the part put the carb back on etc. Guess what. It worked engine running all seems ok there. Now have to try and get a few more parts. Spacer for front wheel bolt. Had to fit RSX100 fork instead of rs 100. Clutch lever. Front bulbs. Have a speado cable on its way. Once I have all that. Put it all together give a ride round the garden then off to MOT. Daughter wants it on the road by June. Fingers crossed. Craig and Rachel
  5. Hello All, I may be getting somewhere. I have had no joy getting a s/h carb. No joy from the breakers I have called. But one company allenperformance said they can get a O-0 and machine to P-2. £10-50 +vat. 3 to 4 week lead time but the the way things have been that will be alot quicker than waiting for a s/h carb to appear.(You wait as soon as I have the bit fitted there will be loads of them on ebay.lol) many thanks to everybody for your help. will keep you updated. Craig and Rachel
  6. Hello Oldgitonabike, Thanks for your reply. Tried them no Joy. Will try Granby's tomorrow as they are shut on Mondays. Even went onto one of those parts finders site that go to the breakers yard. Still waiting. Dont hthink there are any breakers around my area now adays. Have looked on ebay etc. Cant find if this part is used in another carb on another bike. still I have a fiche with part number on so the next part thats needed (Hope fully not.) shouldnt take so long. Craig and Rachel
  7. Hello All, Well parts fiche turned up today. 30 seconds later yamaha part number 164-14141-42 described as noozle main. (All other documents call it needle jet.) Looking at the jet that fits the noozle 125 is standard so that ties in. Now trying to find the part and possible the Mikuni part number. The hunt begins. Craig
  8. Hello Turrican64, Thanks for your reply. The Jet is ok. Its the bit it screws into thats broken. Hopefully the fiche I just ordered of ebay will have the number.(Typical just before the postal strike started.lol) I will try and find a bike shop in my area. The only one's I know of Tend to be sale's or accesories.. Fingers crossed. CRaig
  9. Hello COV_AL, New here know sod all about your bike.(In fact anything.) Was wondering if the XVS1100 drive was the same. If so may be this will help. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Yamaha-XVS1100-XVS-1100-Dragstar-06-diff-final-drive_W0QQitemZ220487980569QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Motorcycle_Parts?hash=item33561b9619 Nothing to do with me.Hope I havent broken any rules. 10. Hello All, Got an image and tried to add. Have a parts fiche on it way so hopefully get the part number from that then seach high and low for the part. If it doesnt work may be if you go here http://s802.photobucket.com/albums/yy303/hovercad/?albumview=grid The jet that unscews is at the top of the pic. Craig
  11. Hello Turrican64,YPVS tone and DirtyDt, Many thanks for your replies, Looks like more phoning around and investigation required. I have looked all over the carb. As far as i can tell. Its a VM20 (Info from haynes manual) the only markings I can see on it are J0 stamped on the flange that bolts onto the barrel. DirtyDT looking at the image in the link sods law says it looks like that. Mine differs from the pic in that it has a jet that screws into the end that sits in the bottom of the carb. Looks like it has 125 stamped on it.The jet is ok but the tube bit is broken. Have taken a pic but cant find out how to add it. If I can get the part for the bike my daughter will be happy (so will I) if not she's learnt not to carry on tightening once you hear the screeching noise.lol Many thanks again. CRaig and Rachel
  12. Hello All, Have a w reg rs100 seems that its doomed. Haved asked in various sections on various boards and no one can give an answer. This is my last hope. If not looks like scrap yard in the sky. (Dont know wether its classed as a classic. So sorry if in the wrong section) I am trying to source a part for the carb. Seen it called the needle jet.(The tube that the needle connected to the throttle cable slides in and out of.) My one is broken due to it being over tightened when rebuilding the carb. Can any one help with a part number and possibly a supplier? Thank you for reading. Craig and Rachel
  13. Hello All, I wonder if someone can help. The main (oops found out it the needle jet according to the Haynes manual Ive just found) jet in the carb of my w reg rs100 is knackered.( long one with 2 holes along the sides and hole through the middle.) Anyone know where I can get 1 from? Is the carb used on another machine with the jet settings ??? Any helps much appreciated. Craig
  14. Hello all, Had this posted in the workshop then wondered if I had posted in the wrong section. So here goes. Due to the lack of Rs100 forks avaliable I obtained a set of RXS forks. All seems ok.Mudgaurd position is slightly different. Also the Rs had a long spacer which was clamped at the end of the fork.To stop the wheel moving along the wheel bolt but I cant find it to calculate the size I need with RXS forks. The RXS does not have this as the end of the fork as it is all one part.. Anyone know the dimenstions of the spacer for the RXS or the RS100. If I have the RS100 dimentions I can work out the dimentions needed. I have a daughter hassleing me , she wants to get the bike on the road. mmm so do I he he he. Manythanks for reading any suggestions very welcome. Craig 0

  18. Hello all, I wonder if anyone could tell me what other bikes have the same forks as the yamaha rs100 with drum brakes. Mine are too pitted to do anything with for the mot. Seem to be like hens teeth on ebay. Bike isnt worth a lot so have to be on the cheap. Rechroming etc would be too expensive. Any information much appreciated. Craig
