Help! Bike will not run without the choke on. Jets replaced, could it be the float height? Any suggestions welcome. Cheers
  3. Hi, all Thundercat parts are interchangable. The shock will fit. They are a great bike Cheers
  4. Hi, the "tramlining" will be caused by your worn tyres; change them but keep to the standard sizes; over-size tyres will create additional handling problems
  5. Hi, don't know if this helps but call Trail & Trails UK on 0845 108 1167. They have plenty of stuff for TY's. I've had quite a bit off them for my DT including a puller for about 9 quid. The owner is very helpful. Cheers
  6. Hi, I had a similar problem with my thundercat and got some handlebar risers (about £40) which enabled me to fit normal bars. The only hassle I had was that I had to get longer brake lines because I put a set of renthals on. I suppose smaller bars (ie not as wide) would remove the need for this.
  7. Sounds like you have the wrong points; they are opened and closed by a cam on the inside of your flywheel. Check them against the ones you took off.
  8. Call me old fashioned but I'm getting a little tired of queries coming through with semi-text/pidgeon english/lazy/useless cant spell etc.Yesterday someone wrote 'eney'.......I will not reply to such guff
  9. If its a genuine yam foam filter oil it. If its a pattern and made of paper dont.

    Help

Take it back mate; they obviously hav'nt fixed it properly.
  11. The slack could just be a worn gear linkage; this might be because of your highish mileage. Try taking up any slack with the adjusting bar between lever and gear change shaft. Your chain should be adjusted correctly as this could also be a symptom of lots of 'slack'; clutch also
  12. The whine could be a sign 3rd gear is getting tired-dont nail it too hard in this gear. thundercats dont have the best reputation for lower gear strength. Your choke is probably normal; you have to find the best position between full on and off. Mine is like this. Check that your tickover is 12-1300.
  13. Sounds like youre battery is shagged/or not charged enough
  14. Sorry mate, but you will have to get proper help to sort this one; definately an engine strip if you are "in over youre head". I wager youre box is shagged,
  15. Its just the same as bleeding the brakes
  16. Vibration probably is normal, although balancing the carbs wont do any harm. Check chain and sprockets; they could be shagged.
  17. Hi Paul, Just tried your suggestions and still nothing; anything further would be most appreciated, apart from the obvious like torching the bastard. Cheers, Jeb
  18. Just a few probs with my dt.Does anyone have any ideas why the bugger wont spark? I have assembled it from a few spare parts, however the cdi matches the loom and stator (6 wire). Am getting some form of life from the magneto and have a new plug and supressor. Help!. Cheers Jeb
