  1. Hi i dont have that bike u have but it sounds the same as mine u have the 2 bolts holding it on the wire has its own connector plugged into the bike, u cant just undo the bolts and yank it u will have to trace it back and unplug it u may have to remove a fairing if u cant see the end connector. On ur new indicator look at the length of the cable that will give u an idea how far under/back it goes and how to undo the connector. I'm no expert i do everything slowly and carefully look at how it comes apart to be able to put it back together, i hope someone can advise u exactly. Good luck (I'll ask around and see if there are any london dealers that people recommend on 1 of the forums i use)
  2. I had some damaged fairings on my YZF from someone knocking over my bike i told the insurance company that the dealership i bought it from would do the repairs took about 3 days for all the parts to come in. My previous bike that got hit i let the insurance company take it away to there "repair center" it was gone for about 4months lucky the other guys fault and he had to pay it costs his insurance thousands in hire bike fees etc! 1 warning though i claimed off my insurance for my YZF being knocked over (the car reversed into my bike and sped off and police did sod all even with me getting the plate) and i'm 25 riding for 3yrs and my insurance requote was £644 i lost all my no claims to so work out how much the repairs will cost u to do yourself it'll really bump ur insurance up!
  3. I would say take it to another dealership explain the problems with it and get there opinion on the bike, until you get a 2nd opinion your probably not really gonna get anywhere I know u don't wanna be without the bike but u have a problem with it and u may find there much more helpful? My point is they have probably spoke to Bill Smith Motors and got told nope nothing wrong with the bike now guy is just shouting for nothing so you prove it to them that there is a problem, personally my R125 has just done of 1500 miles and even on a relatively straight flattish road it seems happy to go to about 60-65 but anything else feels like its being pushed

    YZF R125 Decals

I am considering removing my stock decals and having custom decals made for my bike it but seeing as there so expensive to buy from yamaha (to replace the little front 1 was about £14 i think) is it a good idea as people seem to prefer a stock condition bike when i sell it? I don't want to spend money doing something that is gonna lower the resale value? Any thoughts/recommendations on this...... Thanks I found these pictures and thought the bike looked great with them on although i wanted to remove the R125 decals as well as adding more.

    YZF-R125

My bike is an 09 black/red. I looked at the seat cover it doesn't look much different to the seat though so i doubt its worth it, i put a motrax rubber ronny red/black to match the bike it looks really good, as for the screen i just plan on getting mine tinted black rather than buying a new 1. I personally got the crash protectors fitted they don't look that great but they do save ur bike a lot (someone knocked my bike over and it saved a lot of damage ) i had a datatag alarm and immobliser fitted to it so i don't have to worry about a lock when i park up somewhere and it lowers ur insurance
  7. Haven't had any problems at all with the standard sports demons on my bike had it just before christmas its been through snow, bad ice, and flooded roads with gale force wind i thought the bike handled amazingly well it had excellent grip even in the ice when i got off it and put it on the stand i was sliding all over the place in my boots the bike was fine! i have heard this before and i think it does come down to how people are riding them u have to adapt for the weather.

    R 125

Mine has had the new fuel pump fitted last week took it for a spin, flat out 67-68 mph on reasonably flat ground and i'm 6ft 5ins and about 18st! not as fast as i thought it would go but not bad mine has done just under 800 miles, i had a majesty yp125 and that did over 70mph with 25000 miles on the clock.
