Hi! I bought a thundercat 600 not to long ago and notice that when i get stuck in slow moving traffic (for no longer than 5 minutes) the heat creaps up really quickly and eventually 5 minutes later the temperature of the bike is just over 100*C then the fan kicks in and cools it back down. Is it normal for a bike to heat up that quick?? (Its my first big bike so im unsure!) My uncle had a fazer and he said his fan only ever came on once when he was in the middle of france in the middle of summer stuck in traffic but that is the only time, so i feel that the maybe a problem with my radiator (blockage etc). ALSO!!!! Does anyone know of any riding groups in Trafford/Manchester? Cheers!! shaun

Cheers Goff, ive been to Alans before to have tyres fitted on my DTR - kool guy! found him through my Dad think they knew each other from work or somethin! nice to know he fits them Cheers!! Alex mate you have to stop telling me about it!! hahaha ive not got my licence yet so your killing me telling me how good they are!!! hahahaha im trying really hard not to take it out for a quick ride! to worried about getting pulled over or getting picked up my a police car camera for not having insurance!! Do you live near Manchester!?

im in the same boat ( ive bought a thundercat 600 but havent passed my test yet! failed first time for speeding!!!

My uncle has a FZR 600. He loves his. He has had it for a good 5 years probably more and he has been many places on it. He has been to france a few times from Manchester right down to the south of France and his bike is still fine! He also goes to Wales a lot throught the hills etc. Hes actually thinking of buying the new model of the FZR so i think this bike would be good enought for the hills and very long rides!! not to sure about dirt roads though... He also takes his MRS everywhere on it (south of France) so its ideal for 2 people travelling far. Hope this helps!!

Hi ive got a DTR 125 and usually i get 85 to 100 miles out of it with a full tank of petrol but on reserve you could probably make it another 10 to 12 miles! not to sure about 2 stroke oil, i just fill it up when my light comes on! but i think i could probably get 4-6 tanks of petrol out of it before my oil light comes on! so roughly every 6 weeks i top up with oil!! Hi!! I am currently buying a thundercat 600 (03 reg) and i will need it to be restricted down to a 33 BHP. Do you know where i can purchase a restriction kit from? and how much they usually are? Does anybody know how a restriction kit affects a thundercat aswell?? as in performance, do they struggle etc. Also do restriction kits damage bikes?? Thanks everyone!! Shaun
