  1. Hi, I have a set of Barons Starbar handle bars for sale on ebay. I had them fitted on my XVS 1100 Dragstar, although they fit many other models, and found them extremely comfortable especially for long distance. They are designed to put your arms and shoulders in a better position than the stock bars. They are wider too which looks cool! Heres a link to the ebay auction. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=160335795424 Thanks, Stu
  2. I have a front and rear cast aluminium wheels for sale on ebay for a Yamaha XVS Dragstar 1100 if anyone is interested. They are a straight swap for wire spoked wheels and alot easier to clean. (plus they look cooler IMO!) ) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Yamaha-XVS-1100-Drag...A1%7C240%3A1318 Thanks, Stu
  3. Hi, If anyone is interested I am selling my Cast rear wheel and tyre from my 2006 XVS 100 Silverado (Dragstar/ VStar). Perfect if you're fed up with cleaning the spokes on your spoked wheel. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...E:IT&ih=006 Stu

  5. Hi Brian If you are still looking for a Classic front fender, I have just put mine on ebay! It is black and in really good condition. Reference fitting it on a Custom can be done. A guy on the US V Star forum has just done it, heres what he said. Cheers, Stu Not too hard to do. What I did: I made a mounting hole template based off the holes in the fork mount on my original Custom fender. Then, I took the new classic fender, mocked it up on the wheel where wanted it...and marked where the lower bolt would go thru, on both sides of the fender. With those two holes drilled out, I went back to the bike, and made sure it sat in the forks how I wanted...with enough equal spacing around the wheel...Then I used my template, which worked pretty well, actually. I had to grind a little bit, to get the second set of mount holes to line up, but it wasn't too terrible. Nothing a spade bit, and a dremel couldn't fix.

  7. The other problem being that she has aftermarket pipes fitted, they look and sound the tits but Oh My God they are loud!!! Does anyone know if you can muffle these down a bit for the long journeys? You could try removing the baffles and welding a perforated plate over the ends ( a circular piece of steel with holes drilled in to it) and then packing them with stainless steel wool before re-fitting them. I have a 2 in to 1 exhaust and I did this to mine, now it is at a nice volume. The perforated plate also gives you back a bit of back pressure which you generally lose when you add aftermarket exhausts.
  8. I have the Silverado and yes it does have the cast wheels. The problem is the Custom has a larger thinner front wheel and so a different size fender. The Silverado has the same wheel/tyre size as the Classic. I think the back wheel would be a straight swap but I'm not sure what you would have to do to make the front wheel fit. You see them for sale sometimes on US Ebay, heres a link http://motors.shop.ebay.com/items/yamaha-v...mahaQ20vQ20star Stu
  9. Thats right! You use the toe shifter as normal with the option of using the heel shift to go up the gears instead of using your toes under the toe shift pedal, just a bit more comfortable! Stu
  10. The boards are basically a rigid platform for resting your feet on instead of pegs so your legs don't get tired on long trips etc. The heel toe gear lever is the same as any other gear lever except it has another lever that comes of it towards your heel so you can change gear with either your heel or toe. Heres a link to some on ebay so you can check them out http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FRONT-FLOOR...p3756.m20.l1116
  11. This is normal, you get some oil spray from the breather pipe from the crank! Stu
  12. If you want an awesome meaty sound go for PCS Monster Pro 2 in to 1 exhaust - Copy and paste the link in to your browser - http://www.pacificcoaststar.com/pcs/v_star...ter_exhaust.htm I've fitted one to mine and it sounds awesome! Stu
  13. Hi, I have a set of Foot boards complete with heel toe controls and brake pedal from my V Star 1100. Not sure if they fit the 650, but if they do I'm looking to sell them! Stu
  14. Like you say the front wheel is smaller and wider on a Classic. I have a Classic front fender I took off my 2006 1100 for sale if you're looking to buy one! Let me know! Stu
