  1. try on eBay! I've got a gas tank of my XS 400 DOHC 87, with cap and "halfkey" other half is in cap
  2. Put whatever you got or like, you can do some modification of holder.
  3. NO. You still need battery, but starting is easier and you'll have enough power to run a truck. New bikes like a Yamasaki ( my brother owns two of them) don't need battery because their charger is "magnetic" not electrical.
  4. First to say I didn't read any of those "replys" , as far as I know all the Jawa's hawe electronic problems. The engine is same as my TS Jawa. The best solution for electronics and charging on this bike is the next: find a used alternator from some old car, we used "Fiat", because it is smallest; place it under a seat or right behind the carb, Take off rotor and stator from engine, put the small belt drive on its place,we welded it on, it easy, drill two holes on the side cover for the belt. it would solve all yours Jawa electronic problems, I can provide you some pictures in couple next days if you are willing to do this. 5. I did some job done on it, I made it look older... TNX on reply I was off for a while..
