Another newbie with a YBR125, Passed my CBT end of may and just about lived on my YBR since, Having had a scooter when i was 16 for 18months before i passed my car test i had every intention of getting another bike at some point, Now a little older (31) and hopefully a little less stupid decided to get another, i had the idea of having a year on the YBR to gain some experiance and then do my test but am already getting itchy feet and looking into doing my test and getting something a little bigger, Maybe a 250 or 400 as i want to use it for work riding through middle of leeds, but want something a little more comfortable on open roads

Hey guys, I'm davey, 30 from Kettering, Northamptonshire. (Always sounds like blind date or something when I do that oh well, back to the matter, I'm picking up my XS1100 trike tomoro night, yeah it's a trike, I've got problems with my knees from my previous job so it seems like a better option than trying to hold a bike up. Used to have an XV125 virago, loved that thing anyway, hi guys, how u all doin?

Will be spending quite a bit of time fettling it to my tastes so I'm sure I will be asking loads of questions! I'm a separated working dad with 4 children all who stayed with me when i split from there ex. 2 eldest now live in their own placed but still got a 17 & 19 yr old with me. Live in Berkshire. Hope that's enough for an introduction.

  15. Afternoon guys, just joined the forum but read a few posts on here. I'm on the cusp of buying myself a 1975 DT175 and, I know you get this a lot but, I had one as a lad and remember it quite fondly. Sadly, this virus has stopped me going and collecting the thing. Thought I'd join the forum and see about some advice for a newbie to the 2t world. I ride bikes a lot and have had quite a few in my time but never had a 2t for the road or as an adult. Always old yamahas or hondas as field bikes as a lad. I'll stick questions on in good time but thought I'd introduce myself first. And the screen name is the name of my little company that makes thing…

Hi all, I am Arne from the Netherlands and by pure chance I have become the owner of a 1990 XJ600 which has been parked up since May of this year due to some holes in the exhaust. I am currently working on getting myself my motorcycle license here in the Netherlands, which I hope to have at the end of October. Back to the bike. The fork says it is an XJ600 51J where the Yamaha lists say it should be a 3KM as it is a 1990 bike. So, that is something I need to figure out. Anyway, when I picked up the bike I was pleasantly surprised. It is in quite a decent shape. Granted, the exhaust really is leaking. I think the exhaust needs a bit more welding than I had hoped.…

I have just joined the Yamaha Club today because I have finally managed to get my hands on a Yamaha Royal Star Palomino. I have been looking for one of these bikes for years and finally persuaded an American gent to part with his machine. This limited edition version was built in 1997 and I believe only 85 were made. I would be interested to know if there are any other Palominos in UK. I should have the bike within 4 to 8 weeks and cannot wait to take delivery and become a proper member of the Club

Aloha, my names Joe, I'm from north Wales, I live on a big hill and I ride a Yamaha YBR Custom 125 (yes a 125, please don't throw rocks), I've been riding for 8 months, still on L plates (like riding around with a big sign that says "I'm a virgin and you should crash into me"), I use a helmet camera because in North wales people don't know how to drive, and when I do get my full licence I have no doubt I'm going to end up with as many bikes as my pay cheque allows because I just can't decide what I want when I get a big bike. That's about all you need to know condensed into as short a post as possibe. Just found this forum when wandering round the internet looking…

Hi Guys Newbie here and pretty chuffed with my new ybr 125, except I have a small issue. Well, maybe not so small! My dash board lights perdiodically cut out with the dipped beam. So together, and at the same time, they will cut out and it feels like a bad connection somewhere. Then they'll all come on again - then go out - perhaps because of a jolt from the road or I'm not sure what. Main beam however, works all the time (when i switch it on) , despite the dash being dark. Any ideas? Many Thanks Andy ps - i'm a 1st time biker, still to do my 'proper' test so go easy on me :-)
