Hi all new to the fourm but not new to bikes. I have a question, but im not sure if i should ask it here or not,so here goes. I bought a 2013 v star deluxe. Fantastic bike,i really like it. I drilled out the stock exhaust and installed a cobra power flo air breather(it came with the bike) Do I need a fuel processor or will the computer compensate for it. I have a 2 day run coming up and I'd hate to blow the thing up. Thanks !!!!!

  2. Started by Baggo,

Hello Im in the process of taking a CBT and buying an XVS125. I've recently found a renewed interest in bikes. My original interest in bikes was when I was 16 and my dad bought me a 50cc scrambler which was later nicked by some scrote. My interest disintegrated from there however, 14 years later and I find myself falling for the XVS. It seems to be everything I'm looking for in a bike and am looking to get stuck in with tweeking and customising it. Cheers

  4. Started by taxi driver,

So I helped a buddy pick up what looks like a GT-80 from the mid 1970s. Fuel line was connected to the wrong inlet on the carb. Looks like a pair of disconnected vaccuum tits on the carb. It'll run for a minute or two then quits. Needs everything & has been butchered. Worth a rebuild? I'd post photos but the site won't let me.

Hello. My names Chris. Im glad I found this place and hope to learn about my bike I ride a yamaha XVS Dragstar 125. Im not interested in getting more speed out of her as I like to relax while out on the road and be able to look around. What I am interested in though is customising her and learn about the mechanical side of things. Hopefully I will find what Im looking for here. Thanks

I was lucky enough to pick up a nice low kilometre 2007 XT660X a few weeks ago. I am sorting out a few niggling problems like fuel surge, excessive crackle and pop on deceleration, but otherwise loving the torque and handling of this supermoto bike.

Buddymc in Huntsville Al here. Just picked up a 95 Virago XV750G to go along with my 09 TW200 Dual Sport. Recently retired and having a ball exploring the world out there from the seat of a motorcycle. Also enjoying getting my hands dirty working on bikes again and making each of them "mine" with all sorts of tweaks and farkles. Hoping this Forum helps me to connect up with some local riders. Now that I've gottten my wife to passenger with me I'm ready for us to get out there a bit further away from home. Hollow at me if you are in the North Alabama / Southern Tennessee area and would like to ride.

Good day, I am the proud owner of a 1979 dt125 that i picked up last year for that was seized really badly (it was clear that it was sitting outside for a number of years before my dad stumbled upon it) where the outside (plastics and whatnot) looked to be in pretty good condition considering the age, the inside of the engine (that hadn't spent its life bathed in transmission oil) was covered in rust. now that it is pretty well cleaned up I am hoping to get it running before this summer is over. I look forward to learning new things getting this going Thanks

Hi all. Did my CBT a couple of weeks ago. (yes in mid January) after deciding that it would be easier to commute across the city on two wheels and will be easy to park at work. And managed to get myself a rather nice YBR, with 1500 miles on it, from a fella in Newport. After an interesting ride home through the back lanes then onto the link road I managed to get home alive. As a new owner I have a million questions and will be putting the search button to good use. I hope to spin the spanners and have some fun with a bike now that I dont have anywhere to keep and fiddle with my previous motorised loves Mercedes 190e's (still heavily involved …

Hello, I'm delighted to join the yamaha club. I've been riding bikes since I was 14 and now it seems inevitable that my son is going to start too.Since he's 13 we grabbed a little Dt50 out of the local paper for next to nothing. Great little bike which we can't wait to get rolling "is it my turn yet dad.... I just need to check it again son get out of the way". We have a few snags but I'm going to post that in the tech forum. Have fun everyone

  20. Started by Pablito,

Hi folks, Thought I'd introduce myself as a new member. I'm living in Cornwall and just settling in for a winter season with the bike in the workshop again. I've a 1973 TX500 with a Cafe Racer look. I renewed the electrics last winter, fitting one of those fancy Moto gadget black box things. This year I'm going to attempt to fix some mechanical problems like balancer chain and carb rebuild. Hope to find a wealth of knowledge here to help me and pass on any information I've learnt myself. Thanks.
