Please can anyone help tell me where i am going wrong ,after installing a new EBC clutch ,springs ,cable and release bearing to my fazer the clutch is still dragging when the lever is pulled in towards the bars.I have followed the haynes manual to the letter and no matter how tight i set the release mechanism at the crankcase end the problem still persists.I drained the oil and removed the clutch cover and have watched the pressure plate move in and out when the lever is pulled in but it seems to have more travel at the bottom of the plate than the top.The the the rod that travels from the release end through to clutch has been checked and is perfectlly straight the plat…

Hi My name's Yusuf, I have a XT 125 R which I've had nearly 4 years. I've been a member on here a while, but never actually got round to saying hi. Being honest, I'm on here now as just need a bit of advice about my bike (bit stiff when turning handlebars right) which I'll stick in The Bar (correct me if it's the wrong place!). Hopefully I'l get a bit more active on here, and look forward to learning a lot.

Hiya guys and gals the names Mitch I'm in Gloucestershire. I'm 19 I’ve owned a ’97 Mitsubishi Colt 1.3, ’06 Suzuki EN125-2A, '95 Kawasaki BN125-A1 Eliminator, and my current steed is my '98 Yamaha XJ600N Diversion. I love it!! Got it for an excellent price and it's almost mint condition and it's only done 13k! as I'm only 19 it's had to be restricted to 47 bhp so I bought a kit off eBay and fitted it, it was surprisingly easy to take the seat, tank, air box and carb’s off to get to the carb rubbers which house the restrictor plates There's a few bits which need doing like a new front brake lever (Slightly bent), a front brake reservoir cap as the old one is a bit tatty, …

Hey all. I just registered tonight because I am getting my first bike tomorrow, which is a YBR 125. I was wondering if someone can point me in the right direction as far as maintenance goes and how it should be kept please? The bike is an 09 and has only done 300 miles but there is some small spots of rust around the bottom, which isnt a big deal but it would look better gone. Does anyone know the best way to do this? I was thinking with a wire brush and some touch up paint. Cheers

Just bought my son his first bike. A used 2005 TTR 125. This is my first dirt bike in 35 years and I could use some advice on maintenance. Specifically, tightening and lubing the chain, cleaning and oiling the filter, chaning the oil (whick bolt is the drain?) and changing the spark plug. After I get that done, I want to focus on the drum brakes (front and rear). What do I look for there? Also, what octane of gas does it require? Source for a good manual? Any other advice would be greatly appreciated.

Im new to this site and looking for my first big bike (well, big-ish). I was initially looking at a 400 but they are quite rare now and quite old. But the cbr 400 sounds amazing. The bikes i have been looking at are the Yamaha FZR600, Suzuki Bandit 600, Yamaha Thundercat 600 and a few others, I'm not after a crazy sports bike, just something better to get me to work (20 miles away) and something to go for a play on at the weekends and the shows (builth wells etc). Any suggestions or advice on choosing a first bike will be greatly appreciated!! Thanks, Matt

Hello everyone! This is my first bike and so far i love it. But when i bought it the guy said he just mixes the gas. it has a separate oil tank but he says he has always mixed it. I think he mixes it to heavy on the oil because the exhaust has oil in it and lightly dripping out the end of the pipe. is this very bad? or do i just mix it lighter on the oil next time. Also it tends to die on me when im not giving it gas until it really really warms up. could this also be because of the oil? I dont know much so please feel free to offer help and suggestions! -Connor

Hi all, the names Paul and I'm an oldie returning to the world of two wheels, just bought a 94 xj600s, well pleased with it , good nick low mileage etc, sorted out some minor issues and its gone through its mot ok. Think it needs carb balance or valve clearence sorting, possibly both as its got a rattle on idle that go's after 1500rpm? wont hurt doing both in any case, not sure about tyres yet, its got avon roadrider on front and bt45 on back, think I'll spin them for a while to see how they go. Anyway look forward to chatting with you all and some possible meet ups. See ya,
