Hi I’m new to biking let alone Yamaha 😬😬. I started on a Yamaha ys 125, I’ve now passed and bought ( Thro sound advice from a bike enthusiast colleague ) an 18 year old immaculate Yamaha FZS 600 with lots of extras on it. I’m using a motorbike now purely for commuting to a new job, that has ever tool I will ever need on site, so no longer need to use a family minibus ( 6 kids and we foster 😳😳) there are a couple of things that make me a little uneasy as a new rider, im not the tallest guy in the world, and whilst im not at full tiptoe, I would prefer to have my feet flat on the ground. I put my left foot down the other day and happened to be in a dip compared to the…

  4. Hi all, This is my first posting on your Forum and thanks for letting me join. My name is Colin, From North Devon and I am semi retired, have to keep doing a bit to fund my hobbies, namely Land Rover ownership, playing with my former inshore lifeboat and flying, also my enduring love 2 wheels! Now for a question if I may, although I ride my Diversion quite a bit I find myself using my Jog RR more and more, because of it's lightness and my painful back. Last week I fitted A Malossi 50cc sports cylinder kit with VERY disappointing results, as it appears to have a very narrow power band. I went for the 50cc kit rather than a 70 because of it's mileage (13,000) and …

Just aquired a 1979 Yamaha 1100 XS from my Son In-Law. It is a really nice complete bike that has been well maintained and kept garage. However, it has NOT been ridden for several years. I am just starting to bring it back into normal operation and I'm sure I will need a lot of advise and recommendations as I am new to larger Japanese bikes. I'm not new to motorcycles or hot rods and have several various British, European and American machines. I enjoy communicating with other "gear heads" and like most anything with wheels or headlight(s)! I'm going to start navigating around this site to see what can be learned and look forward to your comments and suggestions…

Greetings from Poland to everyone I am a member of the polish Yamaha XJ Club and an owner of a Yamaha XJ600S Diversion from 1997. It is my first bike, got it in early 2013. It has some small paint defects but mechanically its perfect I thought that I could learn a bit more from Your forum about my motorcycle and other things.

Hi all, I'm a recent Australian rider who's been riding for a year now and just clocked over 10,000 kms on my TGB 101R 150cc scooter. I commute 50 kms per day from the outer suburbs of Melbourne Victoria to the inner city. While the scooter has been a fantastic learning experience, I'm really keen to upgrade to something that gives me more options in terms of freeway use. The scooter will do 110 kph but its at its total limit. At that speed the brakes, suspension and motor are all working 110%. I've been looking around for the next ride since I started a year ago. I knew that there was a motorbike rider inside me somewhere! I ride the wheels off the scoot and fi…

Hey everybody, Who am I? I a 26 yo. From Belgium. New into the whole 'motorbikestory'. Never was allowed to have a motorcycle, but convinced my dad that I can buy one. Since I'm not into new big bikes, and under 125cc I don't need a license...(but allready drove a 250cc dirtbike from a friend when I was 16 and rented a honda dax in france on vacation) -> good morning YAMAHA RS100 (1978). My original idea was to turn the bike into a caferacer, but because the bike is completely original, I will not change a thing. It has it charmes, and is nice as it is. I started with the basics; how does a 2-stroke work. How does a carb work. Thanks to mr.youtube I'm now w…
