Hello all. I actually joined over a year ago, but I'm rubbish at this sort of thing. Thought I'd give it another go. I currently ride a 2002 SR125, a 1982 Honda CB400n Superdream, and a 1992 XJ900 sidecar outfit. Given that I'm about to sell the Superdream to make way for a 650 Maxim that will make it a 100% Yamaha garage - hence why I thought I'd pop back here again.

Hi! After a long hiatus from riding, I got back into it last summer when a friend lent me his 2001 Thundercat (YZF 600R) aka "Kitty". I'm in Ottawa, Canada, so only get about 6 months of riding weather each year. Had a great time last season and my friend extended the loan to this summer as well, so she's still "mine". (He actually just bought a third bike, so I don't think he has room in his garage for her anymore - that works for me 😁 )

Hi there everyone! My very first bike, along time a go, was a little FS1E (P reg, pre restriction, 50mph downhill with the wind behind etc.) Following a long break from biking I finally gave up the trains and tubes and have been commuting for the last five years into central London on my trusted YBR 125. Next week, at long last, I get to order an XJ6 Diversion F I've noticed already some pictures posted by members with the new colour scheme and look forward to adding a photo once I take delivery of mine. (Went to Hastings as a pillion on Bank Holiday Monday, next year on my own bike ) Looking forward to being a part of this club Cheers Steffan

Hi everyone, I’m new to this forum and would like to share thoughts with riders who have a xj6n about upgrades etc which can be done to them . I have a 2013 xj6n Grey/Blue with the following upgrades : - HID kit - Cree led front side light - Cree drl`s below headlight ( no one can say i didn`t see you coming now eh lol ) - Leovince side pipe - rear hugger - Centre stand ( great for lubricating chain and cleaning both wheels ) - down sized rear sprocket by 3 teeth to give a not as revvy ride at around 60mph in 6th ( 4600rpm @ 60mph ) ish . - Genuine black fly screen - Tail tidy

Hey all! Just joined the forum. I need everyone's opinion on a possible bike purchase. Looking at an '83 Virago 920. I haven't looked at it yet, but know it needs a battery and fork seals at the very least. The asking price is virtually nothing (guy I work with is cleaning house). I used to have an '82 750 Virago and loved it. Are there parts available for this bike at reasonable prices? Is it a durable bike? This one has 30,000 miles on it. I was looking at this as a project bike not a buy and drive bike. Any thoughts would be appreciated, thanks.

Hi, I've joined out of interest and desperation. I have a TRX850 which is a fantastic machine. However over the past few months it has become harder and harder to start and now coughs occasionally but doesn't come alive. Thoughts are - K&N filter I fitted in spring has adversely affected carburation. Choke is causing flooding, but no joy if starting without choke from a rest. Looking at some other posts, my worry is that valve clearance could be a problem - is that a common thing with TRXs? Is there someone in the North-West who knows about these things - any recommended workshops? Thanks, CS

I am a new member, have recently bought a ‘project’ RXS100, that has turned out to be less of a project than I hoped for🙂 it’s an X training school bike from the look of things with 7000 on the clock and seems pretty mint, a bit of a ripley tank on one side - probably dropped by a learner, took it for a MOT and it passed 1st go! I used to ride in the good old days when you could jump on to a 250 without any trouble, but haven’t ridden since I was 23 (except the odd scooter here and there in Greece on hols) I have just passed my CBT and am out in the lanes thrashing the RXT, most fun I have had with my clothes on in a long time!!! there is a little big end …

Evening all, My name is Gary and I joined the forum back at the back end of 2013, when I managed to get hold of the first bike that I rode... a DT175MX. I have just started with my restoration in the last couple of days. I've not long finished restoring a 1969 Series 2a Land Rover hence the delay in starting the DT. I have had several bikes in my history: suzuki gt 185, gt 250, honda bf 500f, cb 400f, laverda 750sf, morini 3 1/2 .. all of them sold, because it was my intention to end my carreer as bike... but .... then 2 old offroad bikes crossed my way and I bought them. a 1978 kawa 125 and a yam dt 125 mx.. it's a very emotional thing because these are the bike did like to have in my youth, but could not afford it... now I use them for quick rides up the hills.. and I love to repair and maintain them as well... Hi All, I am newbie to this forum as well as motor-cycling. I have got a yamaha rxs100 off ebay for £500. It is in a running condition but there's rust over quite a few parts and the aluminium coat on the engine block has come off. Wondering what can be done about it. Hi, new member to this site, found on Google, recently bought my first bike to learn to ride and learn how to work on. I need some help with the headlight though please. When I switch the ignition on the headlight comes on and I can't switch it off. I bought the bike from someone who came off it, the bars on the side where the headlight switch is located took the main impact so I'm beginning to think the actual switch might be at fault. Could anybody tell me, before I go buying a new switch, whether the switch has an actual off position?? The one on my bike is the standard rocker switch but only seems to have 2 positions, sidelight on and main beam on, could anybody tell …

Hi my name is Alex , live in London and have 2 bikes (Yamaha vity 125 2010 , Honda PCX 2012) With the Yamaha I have some problems when the engine is warm. First i had problems even when i was waiting at the stoplights , it would turnoff, after i adjusted the valve clearance it doesnt turnoff anymore but when i drive it and it gets warm , i cant restart it if i switch the engine off, need to wait for it to cool off and it works. Changed the sparkplug,the valve clearance is okay ,battery okay , airfilter okay, can this problem relate to the carb ? Or what seems to be the problem ? Kind regards! AleX P.S.
