I have been a restorer for as long as I can remember and thought it time to join a club a club. Whilst I intend to keep the uk dt I intend to sell the us one at sometime along with my spares stash (NOS and used) as I need to cure myself of the habit? 2. Hi all, I am a mum of twins, who if I let them live until the 9th of Aug, will be 17. They are keen Rugby players, who dream of playing for Wales. I will have to wait and see! I own a XV 535 on an L plate and have ridden bikes since the age of 14, I passed my test in 88, with a great bunch of guys in Chester, (thanks guys). My bike has been standing for a few years, due to work and family commitments, which I now intend to rectify, hence why I joined this site. I will be honest, I am here to pick your brains and get as much help as I can, to get my baby in tip top condition asap. Granted, she was in a bit of a mess when I got her,as she had been totally ratted and I…

So, anyone else got one or know about them? Nobody seems to have heard of them, so far only found one other owner (but in NZ) and another person here in the UK who bought what they thought was one only to find it was a 750 motor in a 31A 900 frame... Hoping somebody at least knows of them, how many were made, stuff like that. Please let me know, Thanks, Dan.

Hi guys, I am Jack I am a Polish guy who, 8 years ago, packed the family and moved from EU to Sri Lanka. It's not easy here for a bike in decent condition. Most of the pieces available on the market are crappy scooters made in India. However, I was lucky enough to finnd '78 Yamaha SR400 and 2002 Yamaha Virago xvs125. I also have in my garage Yamaha Chappy (age unknown). All of them are in the process of renovation/reconstruction, and it seems the previous owners were Copperfields of mechanics, as most of the original parts are missing. I am trying to do all the work myself, as engineering and mechanics have been my huge passions forever. It would be great t…

  14. My first Yamaha was a 1980 XS850 Midnight Special the previous owner had installed lower bars and a bullet fairing. I wish I still had that one. The current project is a 1995 FZR1000 EXUP with 162 miles on it. It was "stored" (neglected) for 28 years. During the year it sat (neglected) in my garage, mice had filled it with dog food and damaged some of the wires. Long story short, the last thing before it's like a new bike is fork seals but I don't have 1995 manual/supplement to tell me the factory air space/oil lever for the KYB USD forks. I assume compressed with springs out. Anyone? Thanks, Danny

  15. Started by gernster,

Greetings all, My names Andy and I'm having a classic mid life crisis, Ive recently separated from my wife and one of the things she would never let me have was a bike. So now I'm getting one! When I was a lad (I'm 36 now) I used to run motocross/ field bikes and has a suzuki ZR50 when I was 16. I'm looking to start steady and am doing my CBT next week, and after looking at the options (I toyed with a 90s 125 enduro but think I'll go for something newer) fancy a nice late model DT125RE to bez about on till I decide what step to take next. Thought I would join this forum to say hello and get some advice on what to look for and/or maybe find a bike here.

  16. Hey buds! Greetings for all from Spain! I own a Fazer Fz6 S2 since 2007, and I so pleased with it! I ridded bikes all my life, and she is the biggest one that I own. She is sweet, obedient, and beautiful! By the way, I want to introduce my self as a programmer, a byte eater, and road nomad. And so, this is the equation Yamaha rider + Apple programmer = http://www.logex.es/motosporttt LOL

  17. Hey everyone, I just thought I would do the mandatory introduction. I have an 07 Red R6 that I endearingly (and sometimes spitefully) refer to as "The Red Devil". We have a love-hate relationship that has been thriving for about 2 years now. There have been times where I've considered getting rid of her, but like a battered spouse I continually come back. I see great potential in her and hope that one day she will seek therapy and resolve her issues independently; because the problem is all hers, not mine. However, I must remember that there are two of us in this relationship and with that being said I am here, introducing myself and doing my part. Then again, perhap…

  18. Started by GBDT50MX,

Hi guys, thought I'd say hi and ask a few questions about my bike. As I have recently turned 16, I have just bought a 1987 DT50MX for my first bike. It came with a big bore 60cc kit, performance air filter, derestricted exhaust (soon to be replaced with full giannelli system) and I believe the previous owner installed new jets in the carb but I'm not too sure. I plan to add a smaller rear sprocket and perhaps an airsal 70cc kit in future depending on how much spare time I have. A frame respray is also something I'm considering as it seems to have had a couple of dodgy touch ups in the past and there is some surface rust scattered around. I also have a new exhaust…
