    Hi all, just won a couple of XTs on fleabag and need to get them on the road, they are not registered and are off road based. Googling round there is not a specific workshop manual but does anyone know if the XT600 has the same engine so I can use that one? Cheers Owen

    so, after a lot of work and trial and error including valve clearances and more, i cannot get the bike to start with ease, it takes a while with me covering the air filter to form a vacuum for it to start up, and even then it kicks into a high rpm until a few seconds after, this problem is then resolved by a warmed up engine but when the throttle is twisted the rpm seems to stick for a longer amount of time. I suspect a carb problem but thought id ask a few more owners for advice.

    Please please can anyone help me with this dis/ continued Yamaha part 🙏 I have an XT 125 R 2005 model and it’s a great bike but I need a new carb inlet manifold as the original is split and leaking ( it’s a rubber part with 2 vacuum nipples located between the carb and cylinder head) I will buy new or second hand not worried a rough fix was attempted by previous owner but it’s messy and tickover / starting and performance are all being effected by the leaking part!!!!!! any advice on where to look is welcome 👍

    Hi just bought a 2014 WR125R the startermotor spins, but it doesnt engage and spin the engine to start it. Anyone else had this problem or know of it?

Does anybody know what compatibility is over what years for the DT125LC mkIII i see different information on the net suggesting this same cylinder has been used on other bikes and models,,, but I cannot confirm. The DT125r following the LC was air cooled, but a DT125re was liquid cooled again.. Is it the same? Have any other bikes used the same cylinder, apart from ebay listings which suggest compatibility at "buyers risk" I find it very difficult to find this info out. Its also difficult to ascertain piston compatibility. I've been stuck before ordering off width,,, then receiving a piston that is too tall or short for a model that had a differ…

  6. Anyone know which wheel set will swap right over? Looking for cheaper alternatives. Maybe ct1-3 or at1-3 wheels fit?

    I thought my linkage + swing arm bearings were on their way out but it looks like it's the shock bush that's worn. Are new ones available, because looking at the service manual, it looks like there's no parts to replace, that a long bolt/machine screw + nut fasten the shock directly to the 'relay arm' as they describe it on page 4-60 of yamaha-wr125-service-manual.pdf I'm reluctant to buy a new shock when it's just the bush that's worn - any suggestions for a UK based supplier please? Or alternatively, can anyone supply the dimensions of the bush, like OD + ID of the rubber, OD + ID of the tube/sleeve? The overall width is 44mm, that's the only measurement I to…

    Hi. Got a Yamaha DT 125x year 2006 and diagnosed broken ignition charge winding on stator. This stator have 3-wire ignition charging winding on one pole and one half of that winding is cut. Anyone know where to get new or used? These stators are rare as hens teeth! Here is picture of stator

    Hi, Next week i have a mk1 arriving and was wondering how hard (or even if its possible) to fit a mk3's swingarm? And a extra question: are there any exhausts, engines, cilinder kits that fit plug and play (or with slight mods) into the mk1 frame/block (from another bike etc). thomas

    can any one help? i need a diagram for wiring the regulator had to renew some wires then had to get a new regulator but the plug was nacked. one thing led to another. so all in all i need help ?even a photo if you have the same bike .its the red wire really need to find where it goes.can any one help

    Well, I'm now up to 4,000 miles and the XT is still performing very well. It is just a brilliant bike. The rear tyre was shot at 4,000 miles and the replacement cost £95 including fitting and wheel balancing. Decals are slowly but surely coming away and I have a new set coming from Yamaha, which I will not put on. I'll keep them for when/if I sell the bike.

    Hi all, I'm considering putting a YZ250 engine in my SZR660 chassis (660 engine long gone, RD350 YPVS waiting in its place) to go racing in the Bemsee MiniMono class. The only (obvious) hurdle is the cost of a good, late model YZ250 lump. Does anyone have any idea how much a '98-on lump would cost? Cheers, Mick.

    Hi there every one need a little help or ideas I brought this dt 125 lc engine of EBAY and I am having a little trouble verifying which model it may be. I will start of by saying it is not a power valve model and I am using the blue Haynes manual as source of my data. The carb seems to be from a mk3 as its 26 mm and the serial number matches( although it this may not be the original). The alternator wires match up with the mk 3 diagram aswell as having an external pick up( could this have been changed to convert tp 12 volt). No mk1,s had power valve right,but what about mk2 & mk3,s are they all power valve or was it fitted to just certain models.Engine number 12W-00…
