Hey Guys, So I got the Zeta Armor Handguards for Christmas and excited as I was, I couldn't wait to install them. So now I'm sitting here today trying to install these things. But now there is a problem. In my barend there is something glued or welded in where the screw for the handguards needs to go. Does anybody know how to solve this problem? Yours MCHenny

Hi all, if i had hair I'd have pulled it out by now.... Having alot of trouble with my dt, no spark, all coils etc seem to be in spec on ohm tests so I'm looking for a cdi unit. Can i find one? Can i hellers... Anyone know where i should look other than ebay? Thanks mark

The DT (175mx) has had a rebuild, (crank, piston etc) and ran fine for about half hour then lost power a bit and struggled to accelerate, I ran it like that for a few minutes so don't think it was mechanical, seizing etc. Anyway, checked the plug, OK, so had it out today (20mins) and it ran fine! So although the carb floods a bit I don't think it was that cos I ran it with the tap off to see if it would clear and it made no difference. So , can the coil breakdown when hot and cause similar symptoms ? I've checked the resistance values and they match the spares I have but obviously it's cold now so not sure how to check, any clues good people, Dave

I've been looking at moving from a KLR650 to the WR250r and was wondering if anyone else has made such a move from a big heavy dual sport bike to a lighter dual sport bike. I enjoy trail riding. The KLR is capable of doing this, but I'm always very cautious where I take the bike because of its heavy weight (approx. 500lbs with my set up) and when the bike does tip over you can imagine it's always a scare thing since I always am traveling alone to get the bike back up. I know the wr250r is a lighter bike, people I have read about who use it as such a trail bike seem to really enjoy the bike. I hate that the gas tank is so small, since I currently will ride about 150 t…

Have recently bought a DT175MX off road bike. No lights etc.Its in bits at the moment, and I am looking at the electrics with glazed eyes. Is there anybody with any wiring knowledge who could help/advise me. I want to keep it off road,so I need the minimum wiring requirements.

Hi my Yamaha Tdr250 is sitting at 2000 rpm for about 30 secs before it drops back down to normal tick over . Any idea why ? ( recently completely refurbed the carbs with new jets , floats etc.)

I’ve come into passion of an old dirt bike that only has a 9 digit vin but doesn’t follow the standard prefix. It’s a Yamaha 250 2 stroke with the four speed and is also street legal (maybe back in its time). The crank case number and number etched in the gram are the same. 510-200729 and I can’t seem to get a picture of it to upload but it is in my profile pic

My spark plug is oily, I premix my fuel so that is not issue. I am worried it might be crank seal but I am not sure... And it produces some strange rattling noise coming from cylinder maybe top bearing?

After my previous work on the bike I found the problem to be low compression and the cylinder was replaced.The bike now starts every time and idles at 1500, as i set it to that, but as soon as any play with the throttle happens and the revs go above 3k, it doesn't want to come down past that mark. Pilot screw is fine and from my knowledge there is no space for an air leak anywhere.
