i have a 98 pw80 i bought about 3 weeks ago it was running like shit after i cleaned the carb jets an i juss bought a whole new carb an it fireds right up now the only thing is when i full throttle it in every gear it like bogging out so i have to let off the throttle to get it moving any one have any idea what i could do to get it running right please let me know thank you

Can anyone offer a starting point for a mainbeam headlight problem on my (U.K based) XT660 Tenere. If I run her with the sidelights only..I don't have a problem. If, however, I go to main beam then I have a problem...they keep flickering between dim, next to nothing at all and then suddenly very bright (and not strictly in that sequence each time)...noticeably depending upon the speed/revs and resulting amount of vibration caused... because curiously if I hold a steady 50mph, then they don't play up but if I either drop below or go above this speed then I get the problem? Also when this headlight flickering begins, the clock lights do likewise and the turn signal lamps b…

Is there an alternative carb that can be fitted to a TW125 other than the TEIKEI Y24P? Mine seems to hesitate when you open the throttle and cut out, but when it is running it runs ok any ideas? thanks.

hi all new to this so any help would be much apreciated. i have a husqvarna wr125 with a yamaha dtr 125 engine in it but i cant get the bloody thing started. i am 90% sure it is not a electrical problem as the engine was running when i bought it and im getting a good spark. currently has no air filter on so was convinced had dirt in carb/jets but when i went to strip carb down noticed some berk had rounded the screws and i cant get them out any suggestions?thanks

Hey all, just picked up a 1975 dt100 for cheap off craigslist, not running. The wiring harness has seen better days. I am trying to figure out exactly how the points ignition system works, and according to the wiring diagram, i should be able to put a jumper from the black wire coming from the condenser directly to the input on the coil and make a spark. This does not seem to be working. Does anyone have any tips? I've tested the magneto with my tongue, it's definitely giving off some voltage, i can check with a multimeter later... Anyway, would this be a sign of a bad coil? I tried a different coild from another bike, no spark either. Thanks for any help, -Ian

hello everyone , i wonder if you can help me , i have just purchased a 98 wr400f rear tyre 110-100-18 and front 90-90-21 are these the standard sizes has when i have been looking for tyres the rear comes up as suitable for a 250cc what would you guys recomend for the rear ? also i live in the midlands uk , do you know of any tyre suppliers at reasonable prices ? many thanks

Hi guys/gals,ive got a full dep system on me dtr at the moment but ive turned into a bit of a exhaust nut lol and im thinking of getting a full nikon exhaust for me bike.Has anyone got one on there bike or has anyone rode a bike with one on?? Hey guys, I just bought said bike and i am a performance junkie always out to make things better. I have some ideas but first i have to say this is the coolest bike ive ever. anyways on to what i want to do and if any one has done any of this or could point me in the right direction 1)upgrade to disc brakes. I know this could require a bit of parts and work but thats no problem this bike is easy to work on. 2)upgrade suspension. possibly to change to disc brakes but i want it a bit stiffer or even just replacing front springs and buying aftermarket rear 3)any one have an old 175 motor for sale i have some work im going to do but want a new motor. mainly bore 10 over…

Alright all. Lookng at getting an XT660R next year then doing a 4500 mile trip across eastern Europe, to Turkey then back via Greece and Italy. Do we have any XT owners on here? How do you think it would cope to the mileage. I am hearing good reports already but I think the more views I get can only help to make up my mind. Over to you. Cheers

can anybody help me i am planing on rebuilding my old yz125c aircooled 1976 . i took it apart when i was younger and lost most of the bottom end as you do. the engine number is *1F9-006024* when i done some recent reserch on the web the number came back as a dt125f 1976 did they use the same bottom end? when i also looked at photos my engine it looks like the yz one in the photos on the web as far as the cylinder head and barrel are so is it possible it could be a dt bottom end with the yz top end will it go together? and last but not least do you know any good classic mx breakers or where to find a complete engine any help would be very appreciated

Hello people, i plan to re- jet my 2003 xt600e to suite a non-standard exhaust however im a bit confused with the twin carb set up. I have found a diagram of the carbs and have read from the exhaust manufacturers website that +10 points on the main jet would be a good starting point. Does this mean on the main jet on each of the two carbs? Sorry i've never done this before. Ps its a crd exhaust Thanks
