    Hello, First post and visit at this forum. I just took my XT350 out of storage from winter and I cant get it to start. I drained the old gas and put in some fresh stuff and just cant get it to fire. I dont know much about motos mechanically but something def doesnt feel right when I try to kick start it. It almost seems to "easy" when kicking down the starter. Anyone have any ideas what I need to be checking?

    Trying to start this basket case after rebuilding carb and putting back together. Will hit a time or two with help from starter fluid but then plugs immediately are oil fouled, with excess oil leaking from exhaust port. I'm guessing the wd40 and oil i put in the plug hole to free the rings may be the problem? The bike had been sitting for 15 years. I got 110# compression (cold), spark, and fuel. If there is excess oil in the bottom end, how to get it out? Or any other suggestions? TIA

    hi everyone , i must say im new to this and new to my dtr , i bought this bike last week as a fixer upper dirt bike , but i have noticed that the bike had a mikuni tm series carb on it , quite a big one at that , but my problem is that was not sitting right in the place where it goes in the engine and the air box pipe had been doctored to hell with silicone tubing , lol , so i decided to sell that carb on ebay and buy a original one , but what i wanted to know is mine is suppose to be a 99-2000 model but would a carb from a 2006 dt or a 2007 dtr fit my engine ?? please help me as this is driving me bonkers and cant fins advice anywhere

    Hi guys Can anyone shed some light on model information please? I've just bought a DT175 mx - it has frame and engine prefix 2KR. I can't remember from my youth the differences between the various models. This bike has the silver box section swinging arm. Did that come before or after the model with the black tubular swinging arm? Cheers Lee

    dont know if anyone knows how to pressurise the front brake. basically some numb nuts over tightened the fixing on my front caliper and threaded the pin so ive since had it helicoiled to save cash on buying a new caliper. so far ive refitted the caliper and the hose to the correct torques that i found in my haynes manual. ive bled the hose and and made sure theres no air in the system. i was told to put a clear pipe on the nipple so you can see the air which has been done. ive then closed the nipple and pumped the brake for ages re-opened and closed the nipple and pumped again. i cant find any leaks anywhere but i just cant get it pressurise... HELP ME!

  10. Hey, the speed cable is damaged/not working, so i need a new one. Could you people list any sites/online shops from where i could order it? (Shops which ship internationally) -- Or from which models would it work too, if that is possible? Do you know where i could get right side(the one with WR125 letters) sticker?

    Hi. I have a 1997 Diversion XJ900S and it runs like a dream. Steady as a rock, But when I let go of the hands it starts to vobble. I have had bikes before and never experiensed this. Don´t say " keep the hands on". I just want to knew if it´s a diversion feature or a bug. What kan I do to prevent it? Are there any vobbling steer gas dampers to use? or is the barings of the steering axel bad? Best regards Anders

    Hi guys, Hopefully you can help me again. The 175 MX is almost back on the road as a 125 MX. New piston in, engine back together and sounds good, exhaust back on (slight leak at the manifold but fire gum will sort that) electrics all back together and working and the indicators flash wonderfully, but ...... when the lights are on, so do they! Any quick ideas? Everything else seems fine. Brake lights work, horn, speedo light, rev counter and the warning lights work now (someone had managed to mix up the rev counter, indicator and neutral lights when they had put it together at some point!)     just wondering if any one had any ideas about geting my dt 125 to go faster iv done all the usal stuff to de restrict it its a 07 dtre what ive done modification wise is earthed the reed wire so it revs freely, big boy full system, boycen duel stage reeds,removed the two air bottles and blocked them off and removed the snorkle also turned the powervalve almost 180 lol i just had the thing doing 7o to 75 screwing it in 4th but as soon as i put it in to 5th it just dies powerwise the thing is heating up quick ive been told this is because of the amount of air the bikes getting and the lack off 2stroke and petrol ive been looking into ways of fixing this i was thinking …

    This is probably a silly question but can anyone confirm that the TT600RE speedo should illuminate when the light are on.? If as I believe the answer is yes any advise on how to replace the bulbs as, as it's now dark I've just noticed mine is not visible at night.

    Hi all. This bike is a 1992 YZ80D and it blows crank case oil out of a bypass hose when it's under load. Anyone hazard a guess as to what the fix might be before I start taking things apart? I've never had one of these apart, but will have to shortly if my daughter wants to keep riding this thing. I have an owners service manual, but it lacks a diagram that might reveal how pressure is building in the crank case under load to blow out oil. It's getting worse so I'll have to do something about it this winter to have it ready for spring. Any insight people here might have to offer would be welcome. Ian Edit - Crank case... not crack.. save me!

    Hi all, I,v just finished a rebuild on my 1977 DT 175. Its all going not too bad, but the speedos not working. I,v checked the cable and the drive all seems to be working the fault seem to be in the clock. When I turn it by hand it some times works. The thing is, can you take them to bits to check inside? Any advise would be good. Thanks Wullie

    hi everyone, this is an urgent ask for help. on my way to college for a test i broke down, managed to start it and it then conked out again about a mile down. It sounded like it was running low on fuel but a have half a tank. it's now in my garage after a much needed recovery before my hands iced over and the compression, fuel, oil and spark are all fine. i thought it might by carb-icing but i have warmed it up and still nothing. would much appreciate a reply asap, thanks, Jack.
