Dual Sport, Offroad Bikes

Hi there just wondering what the top speed of the TW125 is and what the 0-60 is roughly? i really love the look of these bikes with the big fat rear tyre, but i want something that isnt going to struggle on hills and keep up with traffic. many thanks.

Just wondering if it would ever be possible to make a like a twin exhaust for a dt125 by making a bracket to house it and maybe some welding? thanks.

I have a 1980 model DT175 enduro. It has been hard to start? I have fitted a new plug etc but It's still hard to start. I can bump start it OK and once started seems to run OK.It seems to start OK when warm/hot but is difficult when cold. I have checked that the plug is sparking by removing it, earthing it out on the motor and kicking it over,it sparks but I'm not sure if it's what you would call a strong spark? I'm wondering if about the CDI, coils, black box etc are not what they should be?? Any help would be apprecciated. Thanks Mark

how you all doin, first time on here and want to pick your brains. I have just bought a 2000 WR400, and was wondering what size shuould the back wheel be?. It's 19" on mine, is the right or should it be 18". Any help appreciated. Cheers

hello again went to align my forks today and relised some Tw@t has rounded 2 of them off on the top yoke... any suggestions? one im sure i can shock off with my impact driver but the other is totally round iv never seen a rounded bolt so round

Recently found this video on youtube looks pretty funny ,was thinking of building a flame kit for my dt125re just wondering if anyone on here has been mad enough to bother doing this .ive herd that you just have to conect up a spark plug to the tip of the exhaust and make the bike run very rich but im not sure if that is true. if anyone knows for sure let me know it will be much apriciated thanks flake O YEAH HERES THE LINK http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=8qiKvuLcIq0

Recentley bought this bike of ebay and the man didnt know much about this bike and he didnt no what model it was soo.....Could somebody tell me what model and year it is?

I was curious to know how similiar a 1980 dt 125 and a 1979 dt 175s engines are and wanted to see if there parts were interchangeable. And also know if any of the electronics are the same like the coil or CDI.

HI ALL BASICALLY IVE GOT MYSELF A 07 PLATE DTR 125, ELECTRIC START MODEL, THING IS I BOUGHT IT SECOND HAND FROM A GARAGE AND ALTHOUGH THE BIKE IS 1 AND A HALF YRS OLD ITS DONE 11000 MILES, ITS GOT THE FULL DEP EXHAUST FITTED BUT ITS STILL WELL SLOWER THAN SOME OF YOUS ARE SAYING YOU GET OUTTA YOUR BIKES, I TRIED LOOKING FOR THE WIRE TO EARTH THE POWERVALVE BUT THERE AINT ONE IN THE BLOCK WHICH SUGGESTS TO ME ITS ALREADY EARTHED, APART FROM THAT I NO NOTHING!!! IT SEEMS LIKE A FAST BIKE, BUT ONLY HITS 75 MAX AND IM NOT A BIG GUY ( 5'7 AND 10 STONE) SO WAS EXPECTING A LOT MORE OUT OF IT, IF ANYONE CAN HELP ME I WOULD BE SO THANKFULL. PAUL..

Hello just wondering if any one else has had there gear selector shaft seal leak on them? had it replaced before just went in the shed to see the bike as its all wrapped up for winter to see gear box oil on the floor and seal weeping just wondered if its a common fault or something...no big deal i surpose

This must be the last most daftest question of 2008 - can an XT 350 driveshaft be replaced with the engine in the bike??? Any answers, and heightened levels of abuse greatly appreciated.

Hi every one, i am soon to be 17 and would lik to put a yz 125 on the road as my friend has a ktm sxc 125 on the road, so i was wondering if i am to put it on the road where can i get enduro parts for it etc so that rebuilding it wont be quite so frequent just only needing to do so every month or so as from experience of mtx usually i would have to re-build it quite frequently, is this possible ? as have this thought as my mate only needs to rebuild his ktm only month or so of riding, can you please help me ? tezza

hi my dt125x 07 is making a funny nosie like a grinding nosie from the motor it's sounds fine when i start it and runs like a dream with no smoke but when i am going along at eny speed and eny gear when i come of the revs and pull in the clutch so im rolling along there is a on and off grinding nosie from the motor eny one now ?

can anyone help how to de restrict my bike can not find any info anywhere

Hi guys, Any idea when you need to change the piston rings on a dtr 125? its got 8,176 on the clock and a friend said change them at 8,000 miles. Last week i have noticed that she is struggling, so i have stopped riding her. (its killing me!!!) Thank you Jon

ok so i have put on a vm24 roundslide mikuni onto a dt175e. the probelm is, im a total newb to bikes (only worked on trucks until now) and i have no idea how to adjust this thing so that it runs right. a fellow yamahacluber informed me on the settings: Main Jet 140 Needle Jet 0-2 Jet Needle 4J13 Clip posn 3 Pilot Jet 22.5 Air screw 1 14 turns out Float level 21mm but that doesnt really mean alot...so could anyone out there walk me through this? maybe even a couple pictures? thank you in advance.. rob

hey all, my 78 dt 175 died after a day of biking, and we broke it down and found the piston and gaskets were fine. what we do see it that the connecting rod is next to locked up, so its really hard to kick over, even with the piston out and in the open. so the bearings went? we may just place the whole bottom end but any insight will help thanks everyone

what would be a good MX bike for me im 6ft1 and 15stone i was thinking of a yz 125 2stroke 2002 -2009 one of those models i wont be racing it just prating around on a field with it and maybe some jumps idk and what is a good price for these bike as i have seen a 2002 for £850 and looks in good condish and they say it runs first time im not sure how much i will have to spend all depends on how my shairs rise in price :/ any alternativs or shold i just get a banshie quad or a yfz 450cc but that would take a lot of saving
