3 more weeks, & I'll be heading up to Castle Rock Raceway to take in a bit of Flat Track racing with my Father-In-Law, @ their annual Harley Night event........basically just a local club event where they pay tribute to All VietNam Vets & anyone who shows up on a Hardley.....gets in for FREE  .....My Father-In-Law loves this event as he's a Vet & he used to Flat Track an 850 Norton himself 8) Appearantly, they just completely revamped the track from this...... To this...... As well as racing 2-wheelers here for Years...... They also have been running Quads there in the past few years...... It's pretty Amazing h…

Early this evening a friend (on a DRZ400) and I went on some pretty rough stuff. If you have a relief map of Wales, we went from Bontgoch (Elerch) up through the forestry to the end of the Nanymoch reservoire - about 12 miles and a climb of about 1200 feet in one two mile section. It took well over an hour and a half and we didn't see another human being. The XT was surprisingly capable of handling what, in places, was a very steep, rocky and loose surface. This track would be impassable to anything other than a short wheelbase Landrover. The Suzuki was obviously better, but the XT kept its end up. One thing I will do, however, is get better more supportive boots. My ro…

Went for a 240+ mile round-trip trek to retrieve this for the latest addition to my YamaGarage It's an '82 XT550 (a bit older I know)....that I found on Ebay. It was the 1st bike that I found that was located in Oregon, so I could eliminate the shipping fee's......only cost me $30 in fuel for my truck, to get it. The interesting scenario is that I was outbid in the last half a minute of the auction, but it still didn't reach the $1000 reserve that was set. So I called the seller on the phone & offered him $800 cash.....& he took it! It runs great!...has all new UFO plastic, along with Bark Busters. The fuel tank is dented on both sides, but not …

I thought you guys might find this interesting as you'll be able to see the type of roads, terrain, and grim weather we have in Mid Wales! So here's a short clip filmed yesterday on the road between Brecon and Llandovery in Mid Wales. I'm on my TT-R250, and the guy filming is on a CCM644. The file is only about 13mb so should take about 3-4 minutes with a Broadband connection. Click HERE! Hope you like it!

As it's been non-stop since I moved to Spain 3 weeks ago, we decided to have a day to chill out. So I thought it would be a good opportunity to put the 350 through it's paces. I travelled about 15 miles from El Algar to Portman via the dirt tracks....however most of the time I didn't have a clue where I was. I turned off the main road, followed some paths and came across a huge disused quarry which had tracks right across the mountains. Then I came across the remains of what looked like some sort of mine....this photo could have been taken in Wales. After getting out of the quarry (eventually) the roads were quite gentle.... …

Need some advice please.... I bought this bike from a friend of mine...He barely rode it and for the past year and a half he hasn't started it. I went to go work on it yesterday and the engine will not kick over. i sprayed Starting Fluid in the Air Filter and she turned over for about 5 Seconds before shutting off. I feel like its a fuel issue. vaccum seemed good going from the engine to the fuel pump...however the flow from the fuel pump to the carbs seems week. it did not change when i tried to start the engine...the flow stayed constant, there was no "squirt" of the gas. before i go ripping off the fuel pump or the carbs, i want to know if anyone has h…

I have an 86 XT350, I had the motor rebuilt, and with that the timing chain was replaced, along with the valves. The problem I have is, the motor seems to have a top end rattle. It sounds like a timing chain, or valves to me, but I am reasured by my mechanic that all it tight and in adjustment. What else could be making this noise? Is it a common noise for these bikes? It seems to have all the power it should, and starts and runs fine.

I bought my first dirtbike tonight, Yamaha RT180, and it started up easily enough at the sellers and ran fine. When I got it home I couldn't get it to start. I replaced the gas, drained the float bowl, etc. On checking for spark by pulling the plug, grounding it, and cranking the bike over I'm noticing that there won't be a spark for maybe 15-20 cranks and then it will come on for a dozen or so and then go off for a while again. Really weird. Can anyone shed some light on what's happening? I really need to get this bike working reliably since it's elk season. Thanks.

top site, and great forums, hoping you can help a customer of mine. I import yamaha suzuki and kawasaki parts to australia and help people get riding again without paying through the nose. a bloke emailed trying to find a top clamp for a ttr 600 begarde (not sure if thats correct). all the parts fiches i work from are US based and that bike was never released in the uS. if someone can point me in th e direction of a site that has the TTR 600 parts that would be appreciated. hopefully it will also have dt 200's as i cant find them anywhere either thanks
