Hi all Any suggestions on removing a siezed shock bolt? the steel bolt has seized into the alloy "rocker" on the bottom of the linkage. The shock turns freely on the sleeve as the bushes were all replaced a couple of years ago but no amount of persuasion, heat' WD40 etc seems to get it moving. Somebody must have some ideas, I've tried the biggest hammer I've got but I think it willl damage the rocker if I give it any more grief. Thanks

Hi, I have just bought a 2003 DT125R. Being 6ft5 I think the ride height is a bit low, I've noticed on either side of the back wheel there is a small cog with numbers on and I'm presuming that if I losen the bolt and ajust this it will change the angle of the arm and make it ride higher... Can anyone let me know that I am on the right lines with this??? cheers

Hi guys, Im new here and havent had much joy with the search function. Basically my DT125r is missing the servo cables and presumably also the PV servo. The PV is locked open at the moment. Does anyone know where i can get the equipment to connect up the PV properly? Also can anyone suggest the best shop/website to get plastics and sticker kits? sorry if this is a common question! Any help will be much appreciated. Cheers, Mark

Hi, I have a DT125R 2002, which has been fine up until this summer, when it has started to overheat. Now, after about 5 mins riding (or 10 mins with the engine idleing) the temperature gaguge gets near the red mark. Things I have already checked/done: - Changed whole carb from another bike - Changed CDI from another bike - Checked water impeller - 2 stroke oil pump checked (and oil added to tank to double check) - Air filter checked. - Checked for leaks Still it is overheating. Does anyone have any suggestions of something I have missed, or perhaps something that is very likely, that I may need to check again. Thank you for your help, Andus

Hi Everyone, am thinking of fitting some aftermarket silencers to my 08 tenere, fed up with it sounding like my Flymo, have seen some leovince ones on ebay from Italy, what are leovince like, Quality and sound wise? and are they a pig to fit? there around £360 on ebay , think thats around £60.00 cheaper than uk prices. not sure if its a good idea buying direct from italy as if theres any probs, then would be a lot of hassle. would anymods to fuel injection be needed after fitting these.

I have just bought myself a dt 125r with a 97 frame and an 02 motor. I have had a week now and only been on it a couple of times due to the weather but it doesn't seem to have the instant power that it should. I've had a look at the power valve and it seems to have been disconnected, all the wires and cables have been either ripped out or disconnected which run from the bars to the engine. I'm really needing to get the power valve back on the go cos without it the bike is dead slow. I'm wondering if there is a way that i can hook up the power valve so that it always has power seeing as i have no keys to start my bike nor do i have a kill switch, it's a kick and…

I don´t understand must about carb, and i want to have more power, a friend of my tells me to change the main jet to 240, and the other jet´s remains the same? this is not going to affect the misture? I will have more performance with the 240? i appreciate some help.... Thanks

Hi, I have a Yamaha DT 125 re (07) and I'm not sure weather it has a restriction of some sort, I have come to think this as I am unable to rev high in top gear all the gears have quite abit of pull in them too but top seems to not give this. is this just due to the size of the bike or a restriction, thanks Jake

Thank God for a forum like this one for those us of reviving these awesome old bikes. I really appreciate all the help ahead of time guys. -- OK i recently purchased a DT400 and it supposedly had 700 original miles on it, but it is in really good shape and runs pretty well. I had a buddy drive it home for me due to being in the military and not being able to according to my chain or command, and after a 90 min ride it developed a horrid noise coming from the gearbox/clutch basket area. This noise does not occur when i have the clutch held in, but if i let it out, regardless of gear the noise comes and it sounds like a screeching that changes with the throttle pull. …
