So this thing has been making this sound for a while, saturday however I took a friend out, rode him around for a few hours (hes after a bike lol) - noticed it got a bit worse, today I noticed the chain was very loose (67mm slack, should be 40-50) ... So friend and I tightened it to 40-42 ish - figured that would help. Did the exact oppostite... now its a serious concern... smash smash smash feeling in the left foot peg... I am guessing this is the front sprocket ... missing teeth? damaged teeth? ALSO - before AND AFTER i did the chain adjustment ... it seems to skip or jump the sprocket... Accelerating hard sometimes it the RPMS will spike as if I just grabb…

Hey guys. I've got the opportunity to purchase a good condition 82 seca 550. It would be for my girlfriend who is only about 5 feet tall (5'1" on a good day). Does anyone know what the stock shock size/seat height is and if there are 11 inch shocks available for this bike? I've browsed around and can't seem to find any shocks that are shorter than stock. thanks for the help.

I would like to get a few more ponies out of a 93 Seca II I just purchased for 600 Bucks. Minor problems, nothing I cannot fix (It overflows oil, i think the rings are burnt). The bike only has 5,500 miles! I rode the bike 2.5 miles home, and realized its lack of power. My first bike, from last year was a cbr600 f2 jetted and piped...much different..I can appreciate the SECA if I can get it move, and even though nobody wants to talk SECA HELP ME OUT!!!! I just need 5-10 horsies. I think I have the small dual carbs. Is it possible to upgrade to the quad carb setup? Any exhaust known to work on this bike? Thanks for any advice..

I purchased a used 1983 Seca Turbo a few weeks back, and I suppose I'm just curious as the the community for them. I saw that there were only about 6000 made total, and of those about 1500 were made in '83. Of those, not all of them are even still running today. I'd just like to know if there's anyone out there with a Seca Turbo as I have a few questions regarding it (although they are probably fairly general to the point that anyone with a cycle could answer them). tl;dr: Wondering what happened to all the Seca Turbos.

Hi, I just found this forum, I searched around but didn't see much info on exhaust systems for the Royal Star (2006). Does anyone have any suggestions, tips or hints on a good set of pipes? I've been looking at the Khrome Werks Slip -Ons HP PLus as well as the Samson Silver bullet Series (Slash Cut and fish tail) but am open to your opinion on making my bike a little louder Apologies if this already has been discussed in detail

Ive had my R1 Raven '06 for about 3 years+, last couple months havent been riding much nor turning on. Ever since it seems like my battery has been either going bad or loosing charge. I have fully charged my battery. What suggestions may anyone have after charging to find out if my battery needs replacement, will more constant riding after doing so help or what? Thanks to anyone willing to help looking forward to getting this issue resolved for I miss riding my bike, but before replacing my battery want to make sure due to the fact that my money is tight!

hi there i have just passed my test and bought my self a 05 R6 there is 5000 miles on her she last had a service @ 2000 should i get her serviced ???? or should i just change the oil and filter ??

Merry Christmas to you all... I have just bought an XT125X (collecting in the next day or so) for my girlfriend to learn to ride on. Just a couple of questions, what mileage should the 1st inspection be completed at (I assume 600?) and subsequently, what is the service interval (mileage / time)? Just want to make sure it's been properly serviced before I take it away. It's a 2006 model with approximately 3500 miles on the clock. Many thanks.

Hi everybody, I'm a nemby to the forum as I have only just upgraded from my NC35 to an R6 - which is awesome by the way. Anyway, it seems that Haynes havn't got round to making a manual for the 2003-2005 R6 yet so I was just wondering if anyone knows of any other manuals that are about, whether the 99-02 R6 manual is good enough for most things, and whether these £3 service manual CD's on eBay are worth a try. Hi All, Just put a deposit down a 06 Plate MT-03, i passed few weeks ago and its my first bike. I was learning on ER5's but failed by test a couple of times on them (foot down) i switched to the MT's they had, instantly loved it. Much better visibility and better riding position for me, more comfy too (i am 6ft4) and the torque the thing chucks out put a big smile on my face, i preferred it to the high revving ER's Back on topic, i think i will service the bike when i get it. Its got 12 months MOT, but i service my own car and got access to oils and filters so since its my new toy, some tlc is in order! First question, and one i am rather embarrassed about, where…

Greetings All!!! Im hoping somebody out there can help!!!!! The clock on my 2000 R6 is reading the wrong time and I cant figure out how to set it!!! Looked through my haynes manuel but there is nothing there, and I dont have the original owners manuel so I cant use that. Hope there is somebody out there who knows how to solve my problem. hi can any one help.ive shaft oil coming out of the breather pipe on my 900 divvy.ive renewed the oil at 200ml and the breather pipe when the temp becomes 0 outside i get oil coming out of the breather onto me back wheel.he grade of oil is 80/90 i would be grateful for any help as this is driving me nuts

These bikes must be geared real low. I have to check the owners manny ...I believe I saw a specs section. I can cruise down a country road in 4th at 60 and the bike humms along nicely. If I try to shift up to 5th at 55 ... lugging city man .... On my Sporty, no matter what the situation, 2nd turning at stop signs or into a driveway etc etc. Here Im lugging in 2nd on slow manuver turns. Any other 1300 rider out there have comments ?

Can anyone help with my xvs 125? I have left my bike standing for 5 months. Last week I put it on a bike lift and started it up, all gears were changing ok. This week started it up to go for a ride and it will not change above second gear even when warmed up. 1st 2nd and neutral all working fine.
