Hi Guys, Just new and tried search but couldn't find anything. I have a 2001 fzs600 with very corroded forks and was wondering if the forks from a 2004 onwards Fazer would fit. Other than that the bike is great and i'm looking forward to spending money on it.

Hey all, Ive recently picked up an older 1998 600 Fazer mostly for commuting duties and a bit of scratching around the twisties. I've already got the front forks sorted, however I'm at a bit of a loss as to what to do with the rear shock. Are my only options something expensive like a Hagon or a Ohlins? Or is there other model shocks that fit? (ie Thundercat/R6/FZ1) Cheers, Lurch

If a Fazer engine is supposed to be a de-tuned Thundercat engine, how do you go about re-tuning it to get the Thundercat performance?

Hi all newbe here I have been giving my 03 fazer 1000 a service and have came across a problem. My exup servo does not preform a self test when the ignition is turned on. I thought the servo was faulty but everything checks out ok. Power getting to the servo and if i apply 12 volts to the servo it moves. I also checked the resistance which is also fine. If i move the servo off center it will reset to zero but it i turn the ignition off and on it just sits there. Any ideas?

hey all, Im currently riding a 125 and will obviously be looking to upgrade once passing my test. My point is that I have been thinking about getting a fazer fz6, however I wanted to know whether this would be too much bike for me as a first 'big' bike or would it be a perfectly viable option? cheers G

Hi everyone I've just signed up as I've finally been able to get myself a lava red Fazer 1000 (2006) I've only had it a couple of days but I would love to get a larger screen if anyone has any recommendations I would be grateful. Also any suggestions for bits to add to the bike etc would all be welcome Cheers JJ

A friend who has been away from bikes for far too long keeps taking the p*** out of me for having a fazer and asking when I'll get a 'proper' bike. I can only presume he knows nothing about how damn fine my pride and joy is, he reckons when he was riding (many years ago) fazers weren't very good. I've tried to find info about my 2003 fazer and can only find the newer model info. I'd like to know the 0-60 and bhp/tonne, anyone have any ideas?

Hi all, unfortunately I'm looking to put a topbox on my new Fazer and, apart from wondering if I'll be able to get my little legs over when I already keep kicking the pillion handles, I'm unsure which is the best option. I'm looking to potentially being able to add panniers for some touring activity so was edging towards Givi but their top box seems to sit soooooo high. Has anybody fitted any tob boxes/panniers to their Fazers or FZ8. Cheers guys David

Yamaha unveiled the 2010 livery for its YZR-M1 MotoGP race bike ahead of the pre-season test in Malaysia. The 2009 MotoGP Champion Valentino Rossi and runner-up Jorge Lorenzo are back on the track at the Sepang Circuit ready to continue their success in 2010. “2009 was the most successful year for Yamaha’s racing activities for many years. It will be difficult to follow such a performance but we are intending to try!” says Lin Jarvis, managing director of Yamaha Motor Racing. “We are lucky to have the same fantastic rider line-up with Valentino and Jorge and we are looking forward to getting started with our work on track.” For 2010, team engineers worked at improv…

  15. Hi, I have recently bought an r125. I was filling it up for the first time today, and discovered that the filler lock is very stiff and 'sticky' feeling inside. It does not look on the outside as though it has been glued, but I guess I can't rule that out, does anyone have any advice on how to clean/lube the lock mechanism? TIA, Cameron

Help! While bleeding my front brakes a piston popped out and fluid went everywhere, leaving little or nothing to bleed and air in the system. After getting the piston back in place (and clamping it!) I filled the reservoir again but squeezing the lever doesn't seem to pump fluid through now. Am I missing something? Do I have to syphon it through somehow? Steve

I just got my bike today. When I got there, there were ashes, cobwebs and such all over it. Doesn't even have any fairings on it. I have the ability to work on cars, but I have no idea how to work on bikes. Is there a checklist I should run through maintenance wise? (Did I mention I broke down in the middle of traffic today?) Also, any miscellaneous info about the XJ600 would be great. I got it mainly as a beater bike, but if I can eventually restore it to it's former brand-new glory, I'll be a happy man.

Had been looking at Divi's for a first big bike however have ended up looking at a couple of 600 Fazers (a 98 and a 2002). Anyone have any comments on a Fazer as a first 'big' bike? Have read a bit about the differences which seem, on the surface, to boil down to the Divi being a bit more forgiving and the Fazer being a bit more potentially lively. Assuming I am ok with the Divi (and an MT-03 from my DAS (though didn't like the throttle on the MT-03)) is the Fazer much of an adjustment? Need to go read up on the difference between a 98 and 2002 bike but if anyone has any general pointers that would also be helpful. Thanks
