Hi guys, Im new here, ive got a YZF R125 and when i removed the pillion pegs it left 2 huge holes in the indertray, to solve the problem i made so polished stainless plates to cover them. They stop all the much etc from gettting in the rear of the bike from the back wheel. Anyone else having trouble with the tyres on the r125 in the wet. I actually slid my bike down the road in the damp(which was nice just before Christmas).

Hello everyone got my bike test very soon (Direct Access). Have Been looking at the R6 for my first bike, awesome looking bikes particularly in blue. Am new too bikes but not fast machinery as own a Mitsubishi Evolution but I am inexperienced in riding bikes, but the way I see it the bike will only go as fast as you want it . Is there anything in particular to look out for in buying an early R6 (99-02), whats involved and at what mileage is a major service and most importantly what are they like too ride any comments would be great thanks.

Hi all, i'm new here. I've just passed my test and i'm all set to buy an R6, I'm a little confused when it comes to insurance quotes tho, There are 2 choices.... YZF R6 Extreme performance (2000 - on) and..... YZF R6 - 599cc (1998 - 2001) Can anybody tell me the difference between these bikes? The bike i've seen is a 2001 but the difference in the insurance between an "extreme performance" and the other model is massive! Thanks chris

Hi all I am a new member. i have a problem with my 10 reg Yzf-r 125 the bike is using alot of oil there is no leaks that i can see i ahve looked all over the engine there is some times blue smoke this only last 1 to 2 sec`s when cold. i could use 1 L in 100 miles the engine don`t sound right. i have done just over 7000 miles on the bike and i have took the bike back to the dealer many time and got told this is normal and the bike is ok has any one els got the same problem or could help, i have got told Yamaha knows there is a problem with the yzf-r 125 engines but don`t know if this is true.

Just looking through my owners manual at the air filter section, disappointed with that as I like to service my bikes myself. Any one had one cleaned/replaced yet?How much did it cost ?

Hi , Just woundered if anyone has put any accessories on a yamaha r125 ive just brought the 09 model in blue , and was going to put the tank pad and yoke protectors ,double bubble screen and the seat cover to match has anyone done any of the above and if so does it look worthwhile ?

Evening all! I have a black and gold R125 and due to the recession im staying on it longer than planned and putting off getting on a 600! due to the insurance, tax and fuel costs so i want to gradually do some small upgrades, visual and maybe one or two engine pieces. so firs tof all i bought some bar ends when i was randomly visiting streetbike, and i got the stock ones off the bike, but i see no way of getting the new ones on :/ theyre the Motrax Gold and Carbon look ones, where the stock has a massive thread, the new ones just have a rubber bung and a small diameter screw, any ideas?! Hi, ive recently bought a YZF R125 and I need it to pass its MOT where can you buy a Front Brake Light Switch as i can not find one for the YZF R125, they were so easy to find when i needed to replace them on my Aprilia Sr 50cc. Btw I live in the UK. Thanks

I've had new pads for the rear sitting there for a while, and as i had the day off work i got round to changing them today. I had a pretty decent idea of what i was doing but i consulted a mate who had previously done his before. The pads came out fine and the new ones went in, but now i dont seem to have a rear brake pedal. Im putting my right foot to the floor and the brkaes simply arent working. Has anyone done this before and can maybe think of an important thing i might have missed out on my first time?

Hi there, I want to buy an r6 within the next 2 months. in the winter i saw a 0% finance deal on 09 r6 costing 7099 brand new. This is the best deal ive seen for a new R6. Does any one know of a better deal? or an existing deal that is as good. Any other tips on buying an R6 would be much appreciated, or any add-ons that i should seriously consider. i.e security ( datatool? ) Thanks for any advice Keep Cruisin Luke

Hello as describe in the title really, where can i get engine parts for a yzf-r6 of the internet at a fair price if possiable e.g. head gaskets, main bearings, cam bearings, engine bolts,oil pumps,water pumps,piston rings, the normal stuff when you want to do a rebuild. thanks

Hi guys, Ive recently bought a good as new 2006 R6 about a month ago. On its first trip out of the dealer, I was taking it home on the moterway and got a puncher! - what a way to start, they said that they couldn't cover against it and that I had to buy a new wheel, although I was on only moterway and knew I didn't ride over anything? My big problem is though that im scared of pushing her in first gear?? how much revs can you hit in first before going into second. My flatmate bought the FZ6 and can completely burn me off in first. - THIS is not a post for someone wanting to race or anything, just for getting away from the lights, and better knowing my bike.
