Naked

A slight accident on my own bike whilst sitting the cbt has left my spedometer fully operational but the front casing and screen is cracked. Luckily I came off the worst bruising both my left arm and confidence. I have since passed my CBT and I'm now looking to repair the damage. Is there any recomended solutions that I could attempt at home? Besides a dealer or am auction site is there any recomedations on where to go for spares? Thanks Gary

I've a 2008 (manufactured in 2007) YBR. Didn't realise when we purchased a couple of years back that it was an imported model from China. Not that its any trouble, its been great. But.... I took the carb apart to give it a good clean and noticed the square / oval kind of shaped rubber gasket (has two bolt holes either side) between the carb housing and connection to engine block could to with replacing. Now, the gasket from the carb UK version ybr is a different size (larger) and doesn't fit. I phoned two Yamaha dealers local to me and both informed that they can't get of the parts of the Chinese model. They gave me the part number I need (5VL E35 660000) for the ga…

When it arrived i thought great i can store my helmet and jacket etc... this was stopped when i tried to fit it. Im a competent person being a chippy but this has me puzzled. Hi, I recently brought a YBR and after running it for a few days the electric rev counter has stopped worked properly, and works sometimes when the full beam is switched on. Was wondering if anyone had an idea about this? I am going to get a new battery to see if this is the problem, but think it might be a short somewhere in the circuit.

Is there any parts to make my bike faster I have a rival on the roads (Yamaha YZF R125) I need upgrades to go faster but don't want to ruin the reliability

I hava a Yamaha YQ50 Aerox R 2009 and i have changed the exhaust to a technigas but the old std exhaust has 2 metal pipes at the front end, one thats welded up and one that goes to a black box which could be a sensor of some sort, which then goes else where? The new exhaust does not have these pipes on, so i have tucked the rubber pipe away, with a bolt in the end to stop any dirt getting in etc. Anyway the bike now performs worse than before, so i took out the bolt possibly a slight improvment but still runs bad, Wont go up hills very well, not that it did before. I have not done anything else to the bike like removing the front washer or changing the rollers, filter or…

Hey all, new to this place, but just bought my Yamaha YZF 600R 1997, my first bike but can't ride it just yet, 2 weeks is when I got my 2 module exams for DAS so wish me luck! Should be a piece of cake. Anyway, I'm looking to get a pillion seat cover (rear) and a exhaust for my bike as it comes with standard. I typed "yamaha 600r exhaust" and "600r exhaust" on ebay and nothing come up for the bike, aswell as rear seat cowel and pillion cover. So just wondering if anyone knows where to get either and cheap? I don't want to spend alot, something which makes my bike sound nice and that can cover the pillion is all. Don't want a full system or a expensive Akropovic etc.…

Hi Can anyone tell me what the two black rubber tubes protruding from undeneath my bike might be.I have only had the bike for two weeks and they have been there since New.They might be breather pipes or something similar....Not sure.Myabe they were supposed to be trimmed by the dealer before delivery Can anyone help Thanks Ian

Can anyone answer why on new bikes when the headlights are on it is the right one(as u sit on it) and then when full beam goes on it changes to the left one on right one off.Side lights remain constant.Dealer says this is the norm now.Surely be better to have both headlights on all the time. Hi all, I just purchased my new Yamaha r125, both the look and feel of it has really got me into motorcycles in general and I'm raring to go for a full license after I get a little more experience under my belt. What I'm really after though is some sort of storage that I can attach to the bike. I find all of these "universal" top boxes ranging up to 56L but they all seem to only be compatible with luggage holders. Any idea if there is a way to attach a top box to the r125?

Ok people as you know, I am having a hard time choosing between "Yamaha YZF R125 or Aprilia RS 125" I have read alot about the two bikes. the yzf 125 is a 4 stroke so in terms of speed only about 70/75mph the rs125 about 120 mph unrestricted but not the most reliable bike what i figured out is that the ups and down are: Yamaha; the good part is thats its little/none work with the mechanic, its good for the CO2 or wtever, i dont really care.. the bike hold good for normal driving. the bad part is that its a 4 stroke, and its almost not possible to tune. max speed is 134. its 2000$ cheaper the aprilia aprilia: the good part is that its very good speed an…

Hey, Just wanted to ask you guys at what speed should I go for longer distances (like 50 miles/ 80 kilometers) on my YAMAHA R125 so it doesn't overheat or break or stop working and etc... In my country max speed is like 130kmh/80mph and thats like max yamaha r125 speed so how fast should I go for long distances? -Noah

Hey guys I'm new to the forum. I'm 15 years old, and I plan to get the Yamaha YZF-R1 on my 18th birthday (2012 model) or whatever better is available from Yamaha at that time (planning to spend no more than 15k). My mom agrees on getting it for me, but my dad says its too dangerous. I definitely do not plan to do stunts like wheelies, and max I'll go is 120mph on a straight highway. Hi Everyone! I am new to the forum, I am taking my CBT on friday and I am looking to get a Yamaha YZF-R125. Is this a good choice for a 1st bike? I also am having trouble deciding which colour. basicly this is what happend on the day- just to inform you, this happend about 3 and a half weeks ago i was on my way to collage at about 8:30am. To get there, i have to go threw a fair bit of traffic, so most of the way i am doing crawling pace. but in order for me to get to college, i have to go threw a small amount of country lanes, which are rather buisy at that time in the morning. so with having all of the cars driving over the road, i didnt think that it would be that bad. i mean it never has been, and i have been going down there 3 days a week for one and a half years now, and it has never made me feel unsafe on that road. but when you come to the end of t…
