Been a busy weekend for me which started Thursday to Wray. I went to Donnington Park festival of Bikes Saturday where the CRMC raced and the VJMC put on a classic show in the exhibition hall. Bloody hot day too. When I first got there I was like a kid in a candy store, saw one bike, then detored because i saw another etc etc. did lots of walking around because of that. Amazing day. went to this today in Blackburn. Lovely weather and a chance to scrub the brand new rear tyre in. Can 't belive the difference a new tyre makes It started at 10am but I got there 11ish and it was heaving. found 1 parking spot on some stony ground. a few BSB riders werew there and Jack Burnicle doing ther MC bit. Though I'd pay a visit to Squires today seeing as the rain was in the west. Greta ride out with the usual stop at Holmfirth dodging all the David Froome look-a-likes. One decided to wobble an overtake a fellow cyclist just I was bearing down on him at 90, not even a pre-overtake glance back to give me a heads up. This show was amazing last year. Tommy and I went to it and the quality of bikes were great.

Heads up that the annual Stalybridge show is on 3rd July 11am to 3:30pm £2 to get in.

Met up with Drewpy today & went to Wombwell (the show with go ) after a pitstop at the Oil can cafe in Holmfirth. Weather was good apart from fog over the hills on the way, great to see Drew again as this was my first propper day out on the bike this year. I can't believe I've missed half the summer, anyway had really enjoyable day and a couple of sessions on the track without getting lapped this time so I must be getting a bit better.

Wigan is not only famous for eating pie, but they have a very good munciple track, mainly used for Karting, but they also run CRMC and other bike racing. anyhow, they do a sort of track day where you pay a tenner and have a blast round the track Blurb from the organiser; Some dates for Track Time for you and your road legal bikes, we ask that you bring you current MOT for the bike along with your licence please and don’t forget Protective clothing. Just seen that over the next few months there will be an MT Tour. Looks like there may be an opportunity to ride (did not read all, but said for 'new riders' seems unfair!), some places also have stunt show and wheelie guide for MT10/07 (haha) I know some of you are fairly regular at Squires and they are there next weekend.
