Well I have no plans as yet other than what is in the title but earlier today I decided that I would take a 2 week holiday. It was alread booked for other reasons that have now been cancelled. Rather than swapping holidays I thought what better way to spend the time than clocking up some serious miles. So on Friday the 19th of may I shall head south to the channel tunnel and then I guess I will be making a right turn. Other than that I will be planning it from here on in. Any advice of routes, places to stay and visit will be much appreciated. Previous experiences? Really any information from rider out there. As to a final destination I am not sure yet ei…

Met with Tommy XS this avvo, as its a nice cold sunny day. We went over the new Runcorn Bridge which was quite impressive IMHO Saw this little Austin 7 sprinter, road legal (in 1930's) my hands were a bit cold on the ride so I just turned up the heated grips to 75% , poor Tommy didn't have any and his bladder complained in sympathy. warming ourselves with chips

Took the Portsmouth Ferry to Bilbao where I picked up a screw in the back tyre so we got that fixed and had a drinky poos whilst waiting. The guy was 2014 24hr winner at Catalunya for Suzuki and his dad a champ in the 70's riding Montessa's. first stop was Pamplona and the Albret Hotel. typical city centre hotel, but they had underground parking which was a bonus. having a Leffe …

Hi All If anyone is in South Wales in July, we are going to run a charity ride in aid of the Welsh Air Ambulance. The date will be the 20th July 2008 and the meeting place will be Thunder Road Motorcycles in Bridgend (just West of Cardiff). I'll post more details on here when we have it (route, times, etc). The plan is just to take a donation from riders which will go directly to the Air Ambulance as they are run solely from donations. A few people are organising it voluntarily so there will be no money taken out. Thunder Road are providing the posters we will use at their own cost and are also providing free tea and coffe to riders. If anyone is interested…

it in, 2016 Squres meet The date for the 2016 gathering has been agreed with Squires, its going to be the weekend of 9th, 10th, and 11th September. That weekend avoids a clash with the IOM classic TT and just about keeps to our traditional slot of early September. I reckon the format will be identical to this year which seemed to be big success.... Friday night in the Café for a few beers ,Saturday rideout, Saturday evening in the Bar for beer and banter, then another ride on the Sunday... We will be doing a flyer and promoting it a bit later on but get it in your diaries now!! Read more: http://the2strokeforum.proboards.com/thread/13893/2-stroke-garthring-2016#ixzz…
