Wigan is not only famous for eating pie, but they have a very good munciple track, mainly used for Karting, but they also run CRMC and other bike racing. anyhow, they do a sort of track day where you pay a tenner and have a blast round the track Blurb from the organiser; Some dates for Track Time for you and your road legal bikes, we ask that you bring you current MOT for the bike along with your licence please and don’t forget Protective clothing. On the Bike Attack days we will be running ACU testing from 9 am until 3 pm, so why not call down and have a chat with the riders on the day if it is something you’re looking to…

Though I'd pay a visit to Squires today seeing as the rain was in the west. Greta ride out with the usual stop at Holmfirth dodging all the David Froome look-a-likes. One decided to wobble an overtake a fellow cyclist just I was bearing down on him at 90, not even a pre-overtake glance back to give me a heads up. OK pictures or it didn't happen; GT250 nice laverda and a beast of an RGS, can anyone guess where you access the fuel filler cap? Z900 with harris exhaust nice KH400 did someone mention Bennelli Tornado in green? my FZ got chatting to this guy, who suprisingly knows Blackhat (who doesn't) got home and only got…

met up with Tommy and his son Jim at Lymm services late morning for a foray into Matlock Bath. I took them vai macc and the A54 "south of macc" to top of cat and fiddle, a much better road and no speed cameras. Was very greasy as they had overnight rain. the via Velia was shut butthey didn't tell us till 1/2 way down so took a left and went down a cracking B raod to Bakewell then down the A6 to Matlock. Home was through Ashbourne and onto the A515 we managed to experience the 4 seasons ( not Vivaldi) showers in macc sunshine in Matlock hail stones on cat and fiddle we also met 3 members of a rock group

Been and gone. The day started like all others, pissing down with rain, then I got told as the wife is working, I had to run my daughter to the airport (look out Magaa) and then take my youngest to work, so I never got a start until around 1130hrs. Kicks the auld bike over and heads off into the gloom, thinking 50 fkn miles of this, I must be stupid, but after about 10 miles the rain cleared away, the roads dried up and I had a great run down. The Trident was going so smooth I had to keep reminding myself to slow down as it's a 44yr old bike. About 5 miles from my destination, I saw a guy pulled over at the side of the road, so pulled in to see if there was owt…

Well I have no plans as yet other than what is in the title but earlier today I decided that I would take a 2 week holiday. It was alread booked for other reasons that have now been cancelled. Rather than swapping holidays I thought what better way to spend the time than clocking up some serious miles. So on Friday the 19th of may I shall head south to the channel tunnel and then I guess I will be making a right turn. Other than that I will be planning it from here on in. Any advice of routes, places to stay and visit will be much appreciated. Previous experiences? Really any information from rider out there. As to a final destination I am not sure yet ei…
