Upgrading to Wife 1.0 Last year a friend of mine upgraded from Girlfriend 4.0 to Wife 1.0 and found that it's a memory hog leaving few system resources for other applications. He is also now noticing the Wife 1.0 is also spawning Child-processes which are further consuming valuable resources. No mention of this particular phenomenon was included in the product documentation, though other users have informed me that this is to be expected due to the nature of the application. Not only that, Wife 1.0 installs itself so that it is always launched at system initialization where it can monitor all other system activity. Some applications such as PokerNite 10.3 , Bachel…

Hi all, I dont post much since selling my FZR600R but a mate has a dilemma, he bought this.... Thinking it was for a different bike and now is wondering what it IS for? Its been suggested that its for the FJR1300 as per the pic below... But the 2 pics do seem very similar and weve pretty much concluded its from a Yamaha but which one? The 2nd pic does look very similar but we cant help thinking its not the same one... Any thoughts peeps. Paul.

The other day I needed to go to the Accident & Emergency. Not wanting to sit there for 4 hours, I put on my old Navy fatigues and stuck a patch onto the front of my shirt that I had downloaded off the Internet. When I went into the A&E I noticed that 3/4 of the people got up and left. I guess they decided that they weren't that sick after all. Cut at least 3 hours off my waiting time. Here's the patch. Feel free to use it the next time you're in need of quicker emergency service. It also works at DSS. It saved me 5 hours. At the Laundry, three minutes after entering, I had my choice of any machine, most still running. Don't try it at McDona…

St Valentine’s Day; as with most Christian celebrations, is a corruption of the much earlier (though equally ludicrous) pagan festival of “Valentino’s Ptarmigan Buggering Day”. Valentino was a mythical buggerer of gamebirds. His favoured quarry were the Willow Ptarmigan (Lagopus lagopus) that were plentiful in both the highlands of Scotland and on the Arctic tundra. He was also known to be partial to buggering the occasional Rock Ptarmigan (Lagopus muta) and when necessary even the Red Ptarmigan (Lagopus lagopus scoticus) became a target for his lustful sodomy. In pre-Christian times the traditional celebration of Valentino’s Day originally involved the mass buggering of…

Hello everyone , i have a dragstar 400 for quite few years now ,still i never found a repair manual for it , only the manual for the 650 ,very similar bu yesterday i wanted to start the bike ,the engine turned over like 1/2 or 2/4 of a turn and got stuck with a <clong> noise , my guess is a valve stuck opened perhaps i will have to investigate by opening the valves covers but does anyone knows if the valves are the same size for the 400 and the 650 ??? i'd like to believe that cylinders are the same size, consequently the heads are the same as well , piston bore probably smaller and perhaps crankshaft different as well. So where can i find a manual for the 400 ?? a…

I was recently "given" a 1983 Virago XV500K. I figured I'd ride it for a year and then move up. Unfortunately after only 2 weeks, tthe bike won't start. Now, I'm a complete novice at bike repairs - I have the manual and a meter (digital), but every time I think I might have it solved, I hit the start button and all I hear is a "click" from the right side. The battery is new, I installed and tested a new fuse block and no luck. I've seen info about the side stand cut off and how some people have disconnected it so they could at least ride. I don't know how to do this, but I'd be willing to try. Any help - any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Reg Virago

URGENT VIRUS NOTICE There is a dangerous virus being passed electronically, orally and by hand. This virus is called WORK. If you receive WORK from any of your colleagues, your boss or anyone else via any means DO NOT TOUCH IT. This virus will wipe out your private life completely. If you should come into contact with WORK put your jacket on and take 2 good friends to the nearest pub. Purchase the antidote known as WINE. The quickest acting is called CHARDONNAY but this is only available for those who can afford it, the NHS equivalent is BLUE NUN. Take the antidote repeatedly until WORK has been completely eliminated from your system. …

The VOODOO PENIS A Florida businessman was getting ready to go on a long business trip, so he thought he'd buy his wife something to keep her occupied. He went to a sex shop and explained his situation. The man there said, 'Well, I don't know that I have anything that will keep her occupied for so many weeks, except...the Voodoo Penis!' The husband said 'The what'? The man repeated 'The Voodoo Penis’ and pulled out what seemed to be an ordinary dildo. The husband laughed, and said, 'It looks like a dildo!' The man then pointed to the door and said, 'Voodoo Penis, door!' The penis rose out of its box, darted over to the door and started pounding the keyhole. …
