From Bristol Evening Post: Outside Bristol Zoo is the car park, with spaces for 150 cars and 8 coaches. It has been manned 6 days a week for 23 years by the same charming and very polite car park attendant with the ticket machine. The charges are £1. per car and £5. per coach. On Monday 1 June, he did not turn up for work. Bristol Zoo management phoned Bristol City Council to ask them to send a replacement parking attendant. The Council said "That car park is your responsibility." The Zoo said "The attendant was employed by the City Council... wasn't he?" The Council said "What attendant?" Foot note: Gone missing from his home is a man who has been t…

I don't know if its me but does anybody else think the new stuff they are laying these days seems worse in wet weather? When i'm at work in the truck if its been raining the thing will spin its wheels very easily, it doesent feel all that good on the bike either (Michelin pilot road 2 if your interested). I thought it was great at first in the 'summer' loads of grip, knee scraping if thats your thing. But now the temperatures are dropping off. I dunno, throw in some leaves and a few myopic car drivers still asleep at half four in the morning and you don't need coffee to get you awake. Comments.......

I bought a sat-nav the other day. What a useless piece of crap. I had it on as I drove around Woburn Safari Park. At one point it said "Now, bear left." I looked left - It was a monkey having a wank. looked nothing like a bear!!

Hi there peeps, Ive been using a Kia Sportage for the past 3 years now, it has 112,000 miles on the clock, is running on LPG/Petrol and has never put a foot wrong, but i feel the time has come to move it on as i have the FTO for general driving, I only really use the kia now for moving motorbikes and occasionally a towing dolly and would like to upgrade as it isnt really suited to towing anything heavy (It's a 2L petrol after all), also since owning my Kia the road tax has gone up from £255 a year, to £265, then this year it hit £285, yet my dad and brother pay £220 a year to tax their 5.2L Dodge ram vans?? (same as my FTO). Im 20 years old so a van is out of the qu…

Just had to mention it. Have just been talking to my kids on the phone and opened the paper to it. Rips at your guts. I cannot imagine how they feel nor want to. But i feel for them. How the laws are fixed. I dont know. More will be done next time it happens. There will be another. Sure as the sun comes up. I just wish the press would erase the psycho that did it. Remove him from any publicity. Just remember the victims. That would help more than banning assault rifles.

Motorcyclists in Nigeria have been wearing dried pumpkin shells on their heads to dodge a new law forcing them to wear helmets, authorities say. Officials in the northern city of Kano said they had stopped several riders with "improvised helmets", following this month's introduction of the law. Road safety officials said calabash-wearers would be prosecuted. Thousands of motorbikes have been impounded around the country and taxi motorbike drivers have staged protests. Calabashes are dried pumpkin shells more commonly used to carry liquid. According to the new law, all motorbike drivers and motorbike passengers must wear helmets. Kano Federal Road Safety …
