I've just had a phone call from an insurance company offering me TPF&T insurance for £350... surely that's an insane price for a 24 year old with 4 points and on a first bike (1999 R6)!?!?!? That also covers me to drive other bikes third party. I'll get the details of the company tomorrow and keep you informed

bike was running fine but was time to rering it. bought factory parts, pistion ring,o-rings for the head,cyl.gasket. installed the parts and now exhaust is filled up with antifreeze and oil and antifreeze is mixing in the transmissiom case. any clues? I have have the head and the cyl. pressure tested and they are fine. I have taken apart three times and triple checked o-rings, gasket, and also pulled water pump seal to check the water pump shaft for any abnormal marks are scarring on the shaft. all this is after it has been kicked over several times. pull the spark plug and covered wuth antifreeze. any help would be very nice .

  4. Man, it was pi55ing it down this morning in Manchester (like always), I was riding into work in my R6 like I have been for the last week. Anyway, I gave myself plenty of room and not following the car in front too close, when suddenly the car infront did an emergency stop as some idiot decided to run across the road! I had to do an "In the wet" emergency stop too.......bloody sh!t myself!! I think I slightly locked my back wheel and I skidded out and fish tailed like a ba5tard until it eventually stopped! During that moment, everything seemed really slow but all I can think about was "Oh Sh!t, the back end is all over the place" and the more you sh!t yourself the more…

I've come on here to confess a terrible sin that I am about to commit. I accept that I will be ostracised for this and also that I deserve it. I will shortly be parting company with my R6 and replacing it with a 2006 Kawasaki ZX6R. On the plus side my mate's bought my R6 so at least I know it's going to a good home.

This time without getting lost, and without a Beemer! Cos I took this one! Same old thing during the Summer months.....out by 10am and back by 2pm. Cos 2-5 is mucho calor bebe! First, it was across to Puedla de Don Fadrique and then up the infamous Santiago road with 25 miles of narrow twisties. Then a stop for coffee in Santiago..... Great views all around too! Then back on the road....it's always deserted! Then mile after mile through the mountain roads! You might think this would be a good place to go offroad....but I wouldn't risk it! Why? Am I worried about getting th…

I've been doing a consistant 350-400 miles a WEEK for the past coupla months..... Finally got a chance to get some pics of the Tumalo Reservoir whilst out on an Early morning spin this last Monday...... This place is so quiet.....especially when it's only 5 or 6 miles away from my office ..... Not much Snow left on the 3 Sisters in the Background....but then again, the temps have been in the 90+F range lately Now if only I could just figure out a way to set up shop right Here!

Just bought a YZ85 2002 two-strke for my g-friend and a wr450x for myself . I'm an avid mt biker ... actually help run mtbr.com and their forums. Thought I'd introduce myself and get started before I *really* get started I don't know why we ended up with Yamahas. I was looking at the Hondas but came across the perfect 2-stroke and great CA financing in Burlingame, CA, USA. I hope it all works out.

....... I'm a Welshman living in Spain! In the town of Huescar in Granada, Andalucia to be precise. And a mate of mine from Essex made the trip down! Dellboy! He rode down through France....stayed in the Pyrenees for a few days (where he witnessed a Dutch guy on a 1200GS writing it off) and then motored down to Denia near Benidorm. We arranged to meet up in Cartagena in the Murcia province, which is a round trip of about 250 miles for each of us. I was out early (8.30am) before the heat kicked in..... .....and 2 hours later I got to the harbour in Cartagena, with the submarine as the meeting point. Del was already there.…

Great little run today on the XT! Temperatures have dropped dramatically down to the mid 20's....so it's warm off the bike and cool on it. Unlike July and August when it was regularly 40 and above, and riding just wasn't an option. I went up the Sierra de Segura mountains on the Santiago road again....where you have 25 miles of hairpin bends on narrow roads, with road surfaces so bad it looks like they've been hit by Allied bombers in places! This is not a road for self-professed internet riding gods! This is real life and you're playing for keeps. :lg: You don't get a smooth racetrack surface with good visibility....in fact on some bends, vision is red…

Hi Everyone, Complete novice at this game not sure if i'm hitting all the correct buttons. Purchased my first sports bike last August (R6). i have owned a 600 Bandit, 600 fazer, Speed Tiple, Sprint st, and now the R6 over the last 7 years. Why it took me this length of time to buy a sports bike i not sure. What a revelation, it's light, handles like a dream and is plenty quick enough for the UK roads, (not sure about the stock Dunlops though, all the other bikes have been shod with Bridgestones)Waiting for the weather to improve, so that i can get out more with my mates for a blast on the west country roads.

Just a word of advice. I have to change my tyres due to my neglect of checking the tyre pressure. it has created a flat squared of spot on the front tyre. not good obviously. so i just thought i would let you know. as i had no idea a) it was under pressure (no queens lyrics please!) or it would have that amount of effect. but maybe im just a bit of a thicky dumb shit!!! other than that just had the beast serviced and apart from new rear pads and the need ffor new tyres everythign else is ship shape.
