here's an online petition set up by a good guy and OYB bike training owner Alex Pinch, doing the rounds about delaying the launch of the MTC (New Super Test for Bikers) until all centres (across the country) are open. The DSA says they’ll all be open within 12 months, so why can’t they delay until April 09? This will affect the industry at a time when the country is facing a financial crisis. This affects all of us, with some new riders being expected to ride a 3 hour round trip, just to get a licence and that’s not safe. Please pass this on, it deserves our support. Hey all - just wondering whether any of you have bothered to fit a louder horn onto your bikes at any point? I’m not really one to go around tooting at everyone and anyone, but particularly during the winter months I like to know I can be as obvious to people as possible if needed. Hello,ive just bought a little 1997 yamaha cw50 to get me to and from work but im having a knightmare derestricting it.the variator washer has been removed there are no restrictions in the exhaust but something is still resticting it,ive been told that there is a restriction in the cdi unit,i only have 5 wires (no red wire to cut),ive been told you have to open the cdi unit and cut a wire inside...is this true? cant find any help on the net so i thought id try my luck on here.any help would be appriciated .. thanks lee...

This is driving me mad. I have another post asking for help diagnosing problem with my FZR (its in workshop section) but i'm getting desperate so asking for help again. Recently got the bike on road again after cosmetic repairs. Ran great for first few days, until i stopped & filled up with fuel. Instantly, bike ran lumpy, wouldnt idle, felt like its running off a cylinder. So i have cleaned plugs, checked plug leads, cleaned airbox & airfilter, stripped carbs & cleaned all the jets. None of this helped. In a random attempt to cure it, i changed the voltage regulator back to an old one (had been changed recently cos old one blows bulbs) & pro…

Can anyone verify this ? I bumped into an old pal and he said he's just finished convalesing after suffering 2 detached retinas. He said he woke up one morning, sneazed violently twice and went blind. After calling the doctor and being rushed to hospital he was told he had torn the retinas off the backs of his eyes - I instantly felt queasy ! What am I like? I always put a disc lock on the bike whenever and wherever I park it, complete with a bright yellow reminder attached to the throttle grip to remind me it's on there I came out of work Friday 2nd Oct half asleep, started it up,revved up and went. Went about 9 inches and the bike totally collapsed under me.Luckily no damage to me or the bike, What a plonker!

Wanted to drive the bike into work last week. Turned over for 5 secs but didn't want to start first go (its been 3 weeks or so since last start). Then all power went. I have had batteries start to struggle a bit to give you a bit of notice but not this one. The 5 secs cranking just completely killed it off. It is completely dead and the charger doesn't even register ....... "it is an ex-battery" 🙃 New one one the way now but was pretty miffed I missed my ride.

Once again the age old excuse came out I got knocked off my bike last night , some p**** pulled straight across front of me without even slowing down . i'm now laid up in bed unable to walk , damaged ligaments and muscles in both legs from knee down . amazingly i've not got so much as a scratch anywhere else thanks to leathers , and my legs would have been much worse but my boots took a lot of the impact, how anyone cant see a yellow bike with headlights on when its getting dark is beyond me . anyway my fz600 is now a complete write off , only had it a week , and it looks like im gonna be laid up for weeks til i can walk right again , doc said my left leg should …
