Hi Guys, I just bought an XV750 1982 so I joined your club to find out more about it and to see if I can pick your collective brain. It has, what I gather from extensive reading, are usual problems associated with this model, about which more later, after I have perused your forum for FAQ's Regards

Hope this is in the right place, my first post. A few months ago my dad bought me a MBK Doodo 125 from ebay. MBK bikes are the same as Yamaha, only differently branded/named. They are manufactured by the same company, and the MBK Doodo 125 is basically a Yamaha Teos 125. The bike did not come with any sort of registration details, so at the moment I am facing paying the £55 fee to Yamaha in order for them to give me my registration. I have the Engine Number and Frame Number, and was wondering if there is any way of finding out my registration while avoid the steep fee. Any help is appreciated.

A story about how two brothers stole their father's 1969 Norton Commando motorbike, had it restored and then gave it back to him for Christmas. If you have a spare 15 minutes, it's a great video.

Hi guys and girls. I have just joined the forum after passing my CBT last Sunday. I bought mysel a virago xv 125 and CBT as a package to finally get around to learning to ride a bike after 20 years of dreaming about it. I have been having tons of fun learning and it's every bit as good as I hoped. I'm from North of Scotland and looking forward to chatting to you all.

  12. So today my engine failed , rather spectacularly ( ive got a post on the workshop with the full story ) I have no idea what is wrong ....... However after pushing my bike for several miles up and down some pretty hefty hills at 10/11pm in the freezing cold my father tells me its all part of being a biker, and it happens to everyone at some point ! Wondered if you guys had any similar stories ? Although i must add ..... 100's of cars past me and didn't stop to ask to see if I was ok or needed a hand ... however 6 out of the 7 bikes which past pulled over and asked if they could help very impressed ! My Lords, Ladies and Gentlemen of the Y-O-C The honour has been bestowed upon me* to let you know that one of our distinguished gentry has set up his own forum, Pilningas (Mervin) has taken the plunge to provide a site for the XJ6 and new Diversion models, with a more British and Euro slant to it. Mervin did try to get a TV celebrity to make the announcement but he said :Quote "Eh, No" so, it is with great trombosity and vernacular inadequacy that I'm proud to make this announcement, raise your reading glasses to a new venture, and be upstanding The site is here http://yamahaxj6.proboards.com/index.cgi and the very best…
