Hi, i have just bought a sr125. It's my second bike and im coming from a sachs xtc supersport. I havent got the bike yet but bought it for 400 no tax or mot and have it booked in this saturday with my local garage. Here is a pic It has covered just 1066 miles and is a 1999 reg, and was apparently dry stored for 7 years. Is there anything i should do or check as soon as i get it? Im also looking to get a visor or screen for the front. Just a small clear one, teardrop in shape. Has anyone done this modification. Also are the bikes restricted at all, obviously i know its not going to be lightning fast but every little helps.

Just wondering here, with the amount of people who come on with the same question, "IE I have a DT 125 and want to make it go faster." Considering the frequency of the question would it not be worthwhile to have a sticky in the off road section that gives the folks some RELIABLE info, maybe a few web sites like DT.com or whatever its called. I'm not wanting to turn members away but those sites have dedicated blogs with instructions on "how to destroy your engine in the most expensive ways imaginable" i mean garage tuning. Some real advice for people. I would have thought its a pretty pro forma method to tune up a healthy DT, you know, standard methods for removing …

it`s a funny old thing to look back at the bikes you once owned.. when i was a spotty youth, i owned bikes such as suzuki A100`s, FS1E`s, Honda CB125 twin, LC250 ,Suzuki GT250`s = many, suzuki DR, plus a bucketful of off road stuff, ect ect and i remember them all with a big smile and thought they were the mutts nuts???? oh except for the CZ!! just recently i had the chance to ride both a CB125 twin and a A100 and it`s surprising how small they are. how i ever managed to go fast on any of those is beyond me thier handling and brakes scared the life out of me i think being 6 stone heavier and 4" taller might have some effect on the aero-dynamics me-t…

When i say this i no i speek for a lot of people i know with bikes the route we take from Thorne (doncaster) to whitby is just amazing via helmsley stokesley hutton le hole and sands end! all in all its about a 210 mile ride and we do it regular. the best part of this ride is the part all the locals call the helmsley TT and let me tell you when you ride it you'l love it. also when you get to a place called chop gate about 200meters after the sign there is a pub and just after that a real sharp left turn take that and folow the road ( tarmaced but ride slow as really thin road) for bout 2 - 3 mile and you will end up at a place called lord stones. its a cafe ( where bik…
